Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was there before i went to bed, when i woke up it was gone, along with the other peoples bikes in my complex. located in fenced and locked back yard

Bike was left unattended for a short period of time at Horner Park, east end, at the entrance to the nature trail/path between 2:15 - 2:45 pm on Sunday 8/25. It was taken during this time period while the owners were out of sight, down by the river along the path.

I was away this weekend so this could have happened while I was gone. I noticed my bike missing this afternoon. There was a break in at the apartment next door this morning and the cops caught the offender but there's no way to tell if this is related except for the timing.

Between the hours of 8 pm to 11 pm on August 25th, 2019. I returned home (Belmont and Sheridan) around 8 pm. I left my bike outside on my balcony on the 2nd floor next to my partners bike, both unlocked, but within a locked communal apartment area. We were in and out of our apartment for most of the night until 11:30 pm when we noticed the bike was gone. Our next door neighbor heard commotion between 9:30-10:30 pm.

I foolishly forgot to lock the garage door after dropping off kids at child care around 8:30am- When I came back to the garage around 2:35pm, I noticed the access door was open and 2 bikes were missing including this one.

Bicycle parked and locked at bicycle rack at the University of Illinois at Chicago NE doors of Science and Engineering Labs East. Bicycle was locked to a rung amongst multiple other bikes. However, the bicycle was locked to the rung, individually. Nothing of the bicycle remained at the scene. The lock was also missing.

Bicycle was stolen from the patio on the side of a residential apartment complex in Gold Coast (near Chicago & Dearborn).

Arrived home from work that day at 7:03pm. The bike was there on he handrail as it had been for 3 days. Titanium u-ish lock was raped around the handrail base, the bike frame and my helmet strap. When I left into and Uber at 9pm it was gone. The lock was left with my helmet wrapped around the same rung with no signs of damage. Our landlord has a security camera that recorded when I got home and two hours later when I left. It wasn’t able to record the incident but it’s clear that it was there then gone.

I went to CorePower yoga at 4428 N Broadway. Locked the Bike around 8:20 pm to a street sign through the frame. Came out at 9:30 and bike was gone. Lock was left there.

Garage Broken into and bike stolen from there

Bike was stolen from my company’s bike locker in the basement of our building. Thief cases the rack, cut my locks, and rode out right past our security guards. Lots of footage but unable to get a clear picture of the man because he was wearing a green shirt over his head and a big backpack.

I was inside the lab yoga and when I came out all 4 bikes locked on the bike rack and my bike was gone too. The bottom part of the unlock was there but they took the u part of the lock and the cord

Bike was locked to the bike rack in front of Jewel at 5516 N Clark St. Chicago IL 60640. Someone cut the lock and left it at the bike rack. I went into Jewel, they didn't have what I was looking for. I walked to the Edgewater produce and was there for 3 minutes. Then walked back to Jewel and found it stolen. It has a Park Tower bike registration sticker on the back by the seat.

Was storing boxes in my basement storage room when I noticed it was missing.

I had gone to a symphony concert in Millennium Park at the Pritzker Pavilion. Locked the bike to a rack near the south end, right next to Monroe Street. This was right next to an entrance to the underground garage and directly across from the entrance to the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago. This was also only about 50 yards from a security station where they were checking bags to get into the park. It was a high traffic area and there were at least 6-8 other bikes locked on the same rack at that time. It was locked through the front wheel and the frame with an Abus Bordo 6000 folding lock. I locked it up at about 5:15PM and went into the park. It was gone, along with the lock, when I came out at about 8:15PM. There was also a different bike locked in the spot where I had locked mine, so mine must have been stolen early enough that another person was able to lock theirs in place for the concert (which had started at about 6:30PM.
