Bike was being stored in garage on hooks. I share the garage with other tenants. I left out of the garage in the morning and shut the garage door behind me. When i returned in the afternoon i noticed it was gone. my upstairs neighbor told me he noticed the garage door was open around 12:30pm and shut it. i don't think anyone from the building was in the garage that morning, and i'm darn sure i shut the garage door behind me. there is no sign of forced entry. of all the things we store in the garage, only bikes were stolen. i also lost a heritage chief fixer upper that was hanging next to my yocota in the garage that day.

This was in front of the new Pet Supply store opening at Milwaukee and Paulina. I locked my bike up, as well as my son's, each with a separate cable lock, to the bike rack. We took the seat off of my son's bike and took it with us. When we returned about an hour later, my bike was still there and secured to the rack but my son's bike was gone and the lock was cut and left behind. The perpetrator left a damaged, unridable, bike in its place - without locking it up.

There was a big gash in the toptube paint that revealed the unpainted frame below) Black 167.5 Omnium crankset and gxp bottom bracket. Both crank arms had scuffs from the metal cages rubbing up againt the arms. silver mks pedals with mks toe clips one of the straps was a single leather strap and the other side had a pink nylon strap grey alexrim da22 wheelset. the front was destickered and had a biachi trackhub and the rear has the a;exrim da22 stickers black 27.2 thompson elite seatpost with a weathered black brooks professional saddle 40mm black specialized stock stem truvative hussefelt risers with black oury grips basically the bike is all blacked out except for the alexrim wheelset. the most distinguishing factors are the paint gash on the toptube, scuffing on the omnium crankset, and pink nylon strap

Bike was locked in front of the South Blvd. CTA Purple Line stop in Evanston @ South and Chicago Ave. There was no room in the bike rack so I had it locked to the 'Hospital this way' sign right next to the bike rack. I called the city of Evanston hoping that perhaps they had the bike removed because of the fact that it was locked to a street sign and maybe that was against an ordinance, but they stated that they unfortunately don't have my bike in their inventory.

A friend saw a young black male with a thin mustache wearing my helmet and siting on my bike texting on his cell phone in the center median at Kedzie just north of Milwaukee. He rode south on Kedzie and turned right onto Wrightwood and headed west. My white helmet that says "ALBES" in black on it was also stolen.

U lock was through the handlebars only. I had tried to have the gyro replaced and two different bike shops were unable to remove the handlebars, so I thought that was that. Clearly, thieves are much more motivated. A coworker reported seeing some teenagers in our secure parking lot gathered around the bike rack, but didn't say anything until the next day. My employers refused to even look at the surveillance footage (they just kept promising to and stalling, one of the reasons I quit). The police told me it would be a waste of time to file a report (thanks for nothing).

My bike was locked to a bike rack right in front of my work, on Michigan ave in the loop. Was within eye-shot of the security guard's desk. Cable locked through the front and back wheels AND the frame to the rack. Don't know how they got it off the rack in broad daylight on a crowded street. There is supposedly security footage. I reported it to the guard and filed a police report.
