Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Went down to laundry/storage room to do laundry and noticed my bike was missing. Looked around and found my lock had been cut and the bike was gone. Bike was located in a shared storage room behind at least 2 locked doors. Thief would have had to gain access to our building and then the storage room door to get access to the bikes.

Bike was not locked in a locked bike room inside our building among other bikes. Probably another resident or someone visiting the building took it sometime in the first week of December. Discovered missing the morning of 12/9/24.

Bike was stored overnight, not locked to anything behind apartment complex. It was on my second story porch inside a locked back courtyard area. When I came out in the morning it was gone.

My bike is usually locked up ion my porch in the closed/ locked back area behind my apartment in Logan Square. Last night I didn't lock it up, for the first time in months. When I came out in the morning it was gone.

Bike was locked to bike rack on Ravenswood avenue near Montrose. At 10:20 building security camera caught a van pulling up person exited took an angle grinder, defeated my lock and took the bike. The van had no license plate. They left the cut lock on the ground.

Bike was in a shared garage of an apartment building. The bike lock was cut and the broken chain was left at the site

Bike left locked outside security office at Maple parking garage in downtown Evanston. Upon returning from work bike was gone.

Bike was secured to bike rack in locked apartment complex. Bike was placed in rack at 1pm and not there at 5pm.

3 hispanic males from ages 17-25 approximately 5'7", two skinny, one heavier. entered my garage and walked away with two of my bikes. Both were locked with a U lock to back tire to frame.

I have video of three hispanic males, 5'7" In height. Two were skinny, one was heavier set.

We noticed the bike was missing on this day. It was locked to a metal fence in a fenced area to the side of our apartment building.

Last seen on 11/22/24. Noted missing on 11/30.

We only noticed the bike was missing over the weekend. It was there mid-week, but might have been taken any time from November 20 - 23. We were working in the yard and in and out of the garage on November 23, so the door may have been open briefly.

I left home at about 11:30am today and when my wife got home later at about 5:15pm my bike was missing from our garage.

Bike stolen from "secure" bike room at my office building. unfortunately, bike room is not secure and can be accessed by anybody walking in from the street while the garage door is wide open.

Bike was left at the corner of Ravenswood and Leland by the Ravenswood Metra station. Kryptonite bike lock was put through the bike frame, rear wheel and bike post Bike lock was defeated with what appears to be an angle grinder. Helmet and broken lock were left behind.

Bike and helmet were missing when I went to take it to work. There is no battery attached to the bike (I had it stored separately)
