Porch is hidden by trees from the street but can be seen from the alley next to the house, which is frequented by the homeless digging through garbage contains. Best I can guess, someone saw it from the alley and took it in the middle of the night. Bike next to it was locked to a pole and was not taken.

My bike was locked with two chains - one heavy duty chain and one commuter chain - through both wheels to a bike rack in our basement. Someone had to get through two doors - one to our alley and one to our basement - and then destroy both chains. They cut the padlock to the heavy duty chain to break it and snipped the other lock. Our back door to our basement was left open.
