Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was in the back of my apartment which is locked. It was locked to a fence.

Sometime between 7:00am 7/31/20 and 7:00am 8/1/20 someone entered the fenced, locked back yard of my apartment building and removed the porch spindle with tools to remove the U-Lock and steal both the lock and bike

Bike stolen from garage

Bike was stored in the basement of a gated apartment complex. Neighbors were moving out and left both the back gate and basement storage room door open after moving out. Unfortunately, bike was left unlocked accidentally.

Bike locked up in residential section of condo building parking garage (33 W. Ontario). Bright green combo cable lock. Only ways in is via car using remote pass to access tenant area or key fob through elevator. Stolen right off the rack next to other bikes of quality.

I stopped at a pet store to buy a litter box. I leaned the bike against the store display window, did not lock it, and went inside. I looked out the window a few minutes later and did not see the bike. I went outside and spoke with a bus driver. He said that he saw a kid walk off with the bike and join another boy at the corner.

Bike was stolen on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana, on July 27, 2020 between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM.

Bike was left overnight from 7PM to 10AM - was gone upon returning

They either managed to get into garage or garage door was left open in backyard and they took my brand new hybrid bike and our lawnmower.

I have stored my bike in my locked garage for about 6 months, without any incidents. Someone either managed to break into the garage, or the garage was left open. I know the bike was safely in there at 7pm on 7/27. When I checked at 5pm on 7/28, it was not in there.

Kids had 2 bikes, went to dollar store on milwaukee. Parked bikes in bike rack right in front of the Chase Branch. Went in Dollar Store, came back out 10 minutes later and kids bike was still there, lock was cut and my bike was gone.

Garage was left open for an hour and was stolen during that time.

They broke into my locked, metal, 12 foot tall gate. went on to my balcony, and cut the lock, and left. Not sure how they got in to a locked door.

I heard some loud sounds in the alley. I went to look and when i stepped out on to my porch i saw my fence had been kicked in and the bike cable had been cut and lying on the ground. with the bike and lock part both missing. There is a camera facing the steps that must be climbed in order to get to the bike. My roommates bike who was below the porch was also stolen.

Bike was punched out of the enclosed back porch late in the night or in the morning

I parked my bike on the orange bike racks in front of Aligned Modern Health on Division St and went in to the office for my appt at 10am, I left the office at 11am and my bike had vanished. No clues left behind, but a divvy bike was propped up next to the bike stand with nobody around.

Husband bike was locked with my bike to a rack in our apartment building parking lot. thief first took my bike an hour later came back for her bike.
