Bike in Locked Garage--Garage broken into.

I removed a Divvy bike from the station at Morgan & 31st Street at approximately 2:30 pm on Thursday, July 11th. I rode to work in Pilsen and returned the bike to the station at Blue Island Avenue & 18th Street at approximately 2:45 pm. When I returned the bike there were two gentlemen sitting on bikes in the station on their phones; I thought this was odd, but the bike locked in (i.e. the light on the station turned red) when I returned it so I didn't dwell on it. The next day I got a notification from Divvy (via email) that the bike was not returned.

Last time I used and saw my bike was on Friday, July 20. I locked it to the bike rack in the back of the building, as I always did. Today I realized it was stolen and I reported the incident to the management of the building immediately. They claim that that area of the yard is not covered with cameras. The bike rack cannot be seen from the street, and only residents and their visitors, as well as, obviously, bike thefts who regularly check the yard in search for new bikes, could know about it.

Bike hidden behind porch in between coach house and front house. I have been storing it there every night for over a year. Ride daily. Stored it at about midnight last night and it was gone this morning.

Bike was taken from outside my apartment door on the second floor of a locked medium-sized residential building. Not visible from the outside and behind several locked doors suggests that this was a crime of opportunity rather than a professional thief.

Had locked at bike at 111 North Lake Share Drive outside the harbour. When I came back after few hours the bike was gone.

Bike was locked to a big wooden post located under our stairwell. Someone walked into our backyard and cut the lock. Bike it only visible once you enter the backyard, bushes block the view from the alley. Last rode the bike around 3PM June 20th, went to check on it at 2PM June 21st and it was gone.

I was at Mcguane Park in Bridgeport, playing basketball, bike leaned on a tree when two people ran over and took it. I did not react fast enough to take photos or chase after them.

Bike cable lock was cut and entire bike was stolen along with cable.

I tucked the bike in the alley in a little cubby behind some garbage cans. I went around the block to move my car and by the time I got back to the spot i left my bike it was gone. It was in the alley just south of Schiller between Clark and Dearborn.

Bike was not locked to anything, but was inside a gated single home yard on Roscoe St, just west of Southporth Ave. Thief got through gate and took my bike between 10pm and midnight. (Picture is of my bike before baskets and back bracket was added).

Looked out my window and my bike was gone

I was at Coopers Hawk Winery on Lake St. and I came out to find that my bike and lock were both stolen from the bike rack.

Bike was locked to bike rack under the bridge at Ravenswood Metra Station at 800am on south side of Lawrence. Locked with an Abus folding lock that was cut straight through no problem. Looked like they even used a plasma torch or something judging by how smooth the cut is.

Bike was locked in center of bike rack between two other nice bikes with U locks.

I arrived home at 9:00pm on July 18th. I locked my bike using a Kryptonite U-Lock to a bike rack with two other bicycles attached to it. The bike also has a Pinhead brand locking system that secures the seat and both wheels with a lock only the owner has the key to. I went upstairs to my apartment, ate dinner, and went to bed around 11:30pm. I woke up at 7:45am on July 19th, and at 8:50am attempted to leave for work. I did not hear any commotion during the previous night or the following morning indicating a theft was taking place. However, when I inspected the bike rack, I found a broken piece of what I believe to be my bike lock lying on the ground where my bike was secured. It appears percussive force was used to break the lock at its base.

I work at GT Prime and lock my bike to the bike rack to the side of the building. I arrived and locked my bike around 4:50pm and walked out around 10:30 pm to find my bike gone. There was another bike with a u-lock and a scooter with a cable lock that were both there when I left the bike and when I returned.

Bicycle was left in a garage. The garage was open for a few minutes while cars were moved around. Garage was open and unattended for approximately 5 minutes at which point the bicycle was stolen.

Locked bike at fence around 4 pm Monday July 16. Returned Jul 18 10:30 am and it was gone.
