Older black man stole the bike around 7:15am after watching the street for a while. As it's a clean cut through the u-lock he likely used an angle grinder. Man is on camera from front of Metro. Locked my bike right outside of Peet's Coffee on Maxwell and Halsted by UIC. After finishing homework, I walk back to the bike rack to see the only my lock was left there. I know I locked it through the front wheel and frame onto the bike rack. I do it several times a day, and I always make sure I don't rest the lock on a spoke.

A person got through a locked gate that leads to the porch of our building. The person went up to the 3rd story balcony and destroyed the wooden railing it was locked to. That person walked past multiple other bikes throughout the complex and did not touch them. A house party occurred the same night in an apartment on the 2nd floor of my building.

Bike was on my locked deck and locked to the metal railing with a new U-Lock. Bike was locked beneath the saddle but above the frame's horizontal cross bar. U-Lock was found intact and still locked to the railing. The only way this could have happened is if they used tools to remove the saddle (the bike doesn't have any quick release parts) and stole the bike that way.
