The garage door did not close when I arrived home from work and went inside this morning around 10am. I noticed it was open around 10:30-11am and went outside to close it. I parked my bike on May 25, 2016 around 7:30pm and noticed it was missing the following morning. Someone cut/broke the combination part of my lock, which allowed him/her to unhook the bike from the metal fence and ride off; the damaged bike lock was left on-site. All other bikes locked to metal fence were still there, my bike was the only one missing.

I discovered my bike had been stolen this morning. I'm not sure when it was stolen. It was in the University Club bike cage in the Millennium Garage. The cage is locked with a digital lock on the door and the bike was locked to a wall mounted hanger with a cable and padlock. The thief unscrewed multiple screws along one side of the cage and slipped into the cage then cut the cable and left with the bike. It is particularly odd because my bike was one of the less expensive bikes in the cage...

Flip flop hub, currently set up to fixed gear. "12 Speeds" decal on rear dropouts have been covered up with black electrical tape to read "1 Speed". New chrome fork with front brake only, as this is set up fixed gear.

Sometime between 2pm and 8pm, someone broke into my apartment near Belden Ave and St. Louis Ave in Logan Square. They entered through an open window in our living room, and stole an Xbox and my bike, which was locked in my apartment by the front door. They also stole my grey Bern helmet with a black brim. was at Bar Louie on Polk in Lrinters Row for a drink after Chase Corporate Challenge race. Locked bike to designated area, through front wheel and frame with a small U-Lock (2 years old). Exited bar less than two hours later and bike was gone but lock on ground. Front tire was still quick release so I'll bet they released the wheel and cut the spokes which are a relatively cheap fix for reselling to take the wheel.

Cable through frame front tire and u lock. Cable was attempted to cut 2 times and finally succeeded on third. Hoping building has a camera to at least get a picture of the thief.
