Roommate, [deleted by admin], falsely accused me (owner of the bike) that I was going into her room and taken things. This was not true as I had no reason to go into her room and was not able to because it was locked. As a result, out I spite, she removed my bike from the locked storage area (which only other roommates can access) and also some other things which were in the kitchen. This bike may have been thrown out into the street were someone found it.

The frame is the most obvious feature of this bike because you don't see a lot of De Bernardi bikes in Chicago. Dent in the top tube and paint rubbing off on the downtube. Small circle on front of frame under the headset where the paint has rubbed off from the brake cable.

There is a sticker from the original vendor in Indianapolis on the seatpost, which I think had an address on Pendleton Pike. The wire for the front derailleur had snapped and disconnected from the left shifter and I had yet to fix it.

I worked all day nearby, didn't notice anything until 4:00pm when I noticed it missing when I went to get it. An old pinkish/reddish woman's cruiser bike was next to where mine was, perhaps the thief's.

This is the second bike missing from this area in a month (first bike was locked to a rack outside of the building--a blue/grey Redline bike).
