Someone gained entry to our building and got into the garage area. Our garage is locked so someone must have left the door ajar. The bike was locked to itself with a U-Lock to the rear wheel to the frame, and there was a lock cable going from the rear wheel through the frame to the front tire. the bike must have been picked up and walked through the front door.

My bike was peacefully waiting in our back yard of a condo building at Lunt and Wolcott, Chicago's North side, for the next triathlon season. My wife came back home Saturday morning to let me know that the bike was stolen from the bike rack at the bottom floor and the chain and lock were left on the floor. The heavy gauge chain was cut off and the criminal most likely rode my bike home to celebrate his Christmas with a new stolen gift. I am outraged, but I am sure I will find my bike, I am positive, please let me know guys if you see it.

Bicycle was in an upstairs hallway of our home being prepared for Christmas. Lock was installed all of 24 hours earlier. As it was in our home, the lock was not yet locked. At the time, we think that furnace repair people were working on our furnace and did not secure our door behind them when they went to their truck. Just enough time for an individual to pop in, look upstairs, and run / ride away.

The front door lock hasn't been latching properly, and I suspect someone just pushed their way in, and took what they could carry.
