Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The bicycle was locked in my garage and was confirmed there around noon Saturday. At 3:30 pm, a neighbor knocked on our door to report our garage door was open. We saw the bicycle was missing at that time, although five other bikes (not locked) were still there. No other neighbors have reported stolen items.

Have a video of guy in white and blue parka riding his bike in alley and EXCHANGING it for our nicer bike in garage and riding off...... Hope he does not wear the parka again while crossi.g streets.... Karma is a bitch so times.

Daughter left the bike unlocked in the back yard, visible from the alley. Someone couldn't resist and just took it. Or it was a planned act for Thanksgiving, scanning the alleys for useful stuff while everybody else is busy.

I entered the bike storage unit in my apartment building. The room itself is kept locked and is inside the locked back area of the apartment building as well. My bike and lock were missing from the bike rack. I have not ridden it or been in the room in at least a month so although I found out today, the incident may have taken place quite a while ago. The person who stole the bike would have had to have access to the outside door to the back area of my apartment building in addition to the basement door that leads into the bike storage room. Alternatively, someone could have entered through the front of the apartment building through two doors which should be locked as well. The lock and bike are both missing but I would guess that the lock would need to be cut as it was a combination lock. Other bikes, both locked and unlocked, are still in the storage room as well as outside in the back of our apartment building.

When I came back from a friend's house I went to the back of the school where I lock my bike up to. The bike rack is always full at the start of the day but I left it there for 2 more hours afterschool to be a friend's house. The bike rack isn't within a camera's view or under any type of light so it was pitch black, and that goes for all of the bike racks. When I got there I saw that there was only one bike there but it wasn't mine. Multiple bike locks were hanging from the rack but mine wasn't there along with the bike. I started looking around for the bike but I couldn't find it.

Two African American males in hard hats and leather jacket sawed off lock at 860 w Blackhawk ave. Seen by witnesses in building across the street.

The bike was last seen around Logan Square near California and Milwaukee

I locked up my bike to a street sign in front of my apartment on Friday, November 9th. I didn't notice it was gone until I got back from a weekend trip on Sunday, November 18th. I don't know what day it was stolen; only that both the bike and lock are gone. I looked all around the street sign and didn't see any sign of the lock or pieces of the lock. I would guess the theif sawed it off.

Bike was in the hotels garage I work at around 1:45. Around 3:00 the garage was left open a man was caught on camera, but hopefully posting it on here will help me get it back.

i was getting a hair cut, while the bike was locked out to a big street light pole. I noticed it was gone when i got out from the polish hair salon on 5303 W Belmont.

No physical evidence found at scene. Bike missing along w/ lock. In front of FFC Gold Coast 1 blk S of clark & division. First person I talked to that was unlocking his bike said he had a bike stolen from the exact spot 2 years ago. Person speculated that it's an ideal location for theives since they know people will be in gym for a while, and there is not an open business on the first floor. Recommend you lock in front of CVS a block away if in the neighborhood

I locked it to a street sign and went into a bar, had three beers, and when I walked out some guy was riding down the street with my bike. I chased for 3 blocks but couldnt keep up. I went back to where I locked my bike and the lock was gone, and the bolt securing the sign in place was covered with rust, so I know that he broke the lock somehow.

The bike was locked outside Johnny Sprockets at Broadway and Wellington while I was working around the corner. It was locked to their rack with an Abus lock, along with my helmet. When I left work around 2:45am on Sunday the 18th, there was no trace of my bike, lock or helmet.

My bike is missing!!!

Somebody sneaked in through the garage door while one of the tenants was leaving

Bike was stolen off of our side porch at some point in the last 2 days -- last seen on Tuesday night, noticed missing by my wife Thursday morning. It was locked to a wooden porch railing with cable connected to a u-lock that went around the frame and back tire. No pieces of the lock were left behind, but also no damage to the porch, so I'm guessing they cut the cable.

Probably unbolted and lifted up the street-sign. Lock is missing as well, may still be attached.
