I was coming home for a quick lunch and brought my bicycle inside the gate of condo but left it right outside the front door unlocked. We have high gates and I was only going to be a short while, so I left it unlocked (my fault). By the time I finished, it was stolen. I have a strong suspicion someone from the neighboring condo jumped the fence and stole the bike.

Rear view mirror left handle. Right handle light/blinker led. Shimano spd pedals. Two water bottle cages vertical one is plastic. seat had reflective back strips was split down middle slightly (open). had a mountain rack one screw was missing used bungee hook to fit. Three back blinkers a cat eye a planet bike and a third forget brand (cat eye mouning equiptment for the mountain rack other two were on saddle bags). Saddle bags don't remember brand but they are black with yellow straping around them. Had a pair of 42 shimano blue womens shoes. Also a pair of keano gel asics. A pearl izuma bike underwear size medium orange camoise. There was a bike seat back with a set of those L hex wretch things and a led flashlight plus instructions for bike computer. Two cable locks were attached one with combo 1323 and the other is a key lock with a leather strap. I had a reflector orange vest. The library audioplay book on climate change with sports headphones with reflector on strap (the ones that hook to your ear and U behind head). Assorted bike maps and bike info. A silver/grey snowboarding helmet with a race number on front a recyclery sticker and a large circular cubs sticker. Helmet has internal red meshing that I mounted also strap has chin cushion that is mesh. Also there is a side mounted light that flashes as a progressive shifting blinker.

Left my bike parked and locked on the street outside the building where I live, in Old Town/Lincoln Park Area. I locked it using the Kriptonite Newer U-Lock w/flat key: frame to one of the metal poles of the fence. The bike was there for three days. On the morning of Sep-12th-2011 I went outside and the bike was gone. The metal pole of the fence was cut.

I locked my bike to the rack on the south side of the Illini Center (200 S. Wacker Dr.) with my combination U-lock through the front wheel, frame and rack. I also used an Abus 15mm cable lock through the back wheel and the frame. Left the bike securely locked at 8:40 am. Came back before a doctor appointment at 3:40 pm. It was gone, along with all remnants of the locks. There is an Illini Center building security camera pointed directly at that rack. So, I've already filed an incident report at the building. Any help is much appreciated.

My bike was locked up to a no parking pole along with one other bike. With there being another bike, I did not think to make sure the pole was secured to the ground. I was at my friend's apartment for about an hour to an hour and a half, came outside to see my bike gone. The pole was ripped from the grass and left on the ground along with the other bike that was locked up. I filed a police report immediately and am patiently waiting.

The bike is stored (unlocked) in the back stairway of my apartment building. To get into this area, you have to get by a locked, perimeter fence and then through a locked exterior door. However, the front lock to the fence doesn't work well (it's finally getting fixed now) and it seems the back door can easily be picked. Not only was my bike taken but two others whose owners also store their bikes in the back stairwell. They believe their bike was stolen on Friday the 23rd of October. Since I didn't use my bike during the weekend and I don't use the back door regularly, I didn't notice the theft until my roommate got back from a weekend trip on Sunday. Also, I didn't get the email from the other bike owner (my roommate did and told me about it when she got back). Their have been no reports of suspicious people in our building by any of the tenants. Also, based on the email, I believe the other owner made a report on this website and he probably has more information on his bike than I do. So if his bikes are found with a blue bike, it's likely mine.
