I went into the plasma center at 3324 W Lawrence at 1130 in the am. When I came out at 130pm I found a cut lock where my bike was locked up at. No one from any of the businesses right next door saw a thing and I filed a police report via the 311 service. Wire locks are definitely provide a false sense coupled with having the bike at a busy intersection didn't seem to deter me from becoming a stolen bike victim. This is a pretty cool service that I happen to stumble on while trying to find out if bike ever do get recovered. I've got high hopes that some good will come from all of this. Thanks.

The bike was kept in a locked courtyard. The courtyard door was left open and the bike was stolen off my porch. My Jamis Beatnik was also stolen at the same time.

Locked up outside the Logan Theatre (2646 N Milwaukee Ave) on Wednesday November 3, 2010. Locked up at 7:20PM, found missing at 9:50PM. U lock appears to have been cut by an angle grinder.

I didn't lock my bike up as it was in our condo's garage behind my car up against the wall and someone stole it betwen the hours of 10pm and 7am.

I realize now the lock I used was not the 'best'. I am guessing it was stolen sometime during the night on Oct. 31.

I store my bike behind my building, under the stairs, and behind a strong locked gate. The bike was locked to itself with a newer u-lock w/flat key, but not to anything else as it was behind a locked gate in a place not visible from the alley. I cannot be sure when it was stolen because I have not ridden it in a couple of weeks due to needing air in the tires. I live across the street from a high school, so one might suspect that the gate was not completely closed on a day, and mischievous students tried the gate and walked off with a bike. Although, with the lock attached, it is hard to imagine bothering to carry the bike since it was quite heavy.

I left town with my bike locked up outside. When I returned it was gone. I should have known better than to do such a thing in this town.

My bike currently featured gold handlebar tape, an Aerospoke front wheel that is black and fades to silver in the center, and a black selle italia gel flow seat. I was dogsitting at a house and arrived to the house around 3:30am and locked my bike to the wrought iron fence with a large chain lock. I woke up to a loud noise around 4-6am (i was out of it, sleeping obviously) but thought nothing of it. He cut two bars of the fence and slipped out the lock. This guy was very daring, very fortunate to get away with my bike, and very fortunate to still be walking around able-bodied.

Bike was stored in a locked bike room at my apartment complex. I just found out the bike was missing, but the theft likely occurred around August 16th, 2010. Several other bicycles were stolen from the room at the same time. There were no signs of forced entry, but the lock on the bike room was old. Unsure whether the bike was stolen by another tenant or if the bike was stolen by another party.

My friend was using the bike while visiting me here. He was on the blue line and fell asleep. Whebbhe woke up the bike was gone.

The bike was locked on a rack with many other bikes, probably 10. I was in a meeting for only an hour. My bike was the ONLY one stolen. It was the only one worth anything on the rack. It was broad daylight with students and others coming and going....

I was visiting the Field Museum and locked my bike out in front of the museum. I came out to discover that it was stolen.

I locked my bike up to a no parking sign on the corner of Clark and Surf Streets about 4:30pm on a Monday night. I went in to Bally's Health Club and came out about 6pm and the bike was gone along with the cable lock. I'm guessing that professionals came by in a truck or van, cut the lock and grabbed the bike. The only part I still have is the seat which had a quick release and I took with me.

The guy Who stole this took 5 seconds to cut thru the black cable combo lock. The video is eery and the security company here is a joke. Multiple million dollar Facility and $20 cameras that are too blurry to make anything out.

Today, while on my first run delivering for Potbelly Sandwich Works, I locked this bike to a sign, went into the shopping center at 900 N Michigan Ave, picked up the order, came outside, and the bike had vanished without a trace! I talked to a construction worker nearby who didn't notice anything, and then talked to the buildings security office where I wrote a description with my contact info, and they said they would file it for me. I'm quite surprised that a thief would risk stealing from where it was locked, as it was 15 yards from North Michigan Ave! My bike was locked next to a cruddier mountain bike, however that bike was locked with a big heavy duty chain. The exact location was to a sign post, on the South side of Walton, 15ish yards west of North Michigan Ave.

I had just gotten into an accident. I locked up my bike before getting into the ambulance and leaving for the hospital. In the confusion, I may have locked my bike up improperly (only locking it to the frame).
