Locked it to a bike rack next to another locked bike. There is mild traffic in the area with valet parking attendants, smokers, and bar/theater/restaurant goers. I have parked my bike here many times without incident. When I left at 2am both bikes were gone without a trace of ever having been there. I do not know if the other owner's was stolen or just mine.

The reflector on the handlebars is loose. Brown leather saddle. 3-speed bike, 3rd gear slips every so often.

Bike must have been stolen from someone with either wire cutters or who was able to compromise the lock and open it. I left it at the CTA station on my way to work at 11am, came back at 5:15pm and it was gone without a trace. CTA employees knew nothing and do not have cameras on the premises.

My Fuji Cross Comp is black and silver with a red Fuji logo on the side. The bike is a little dirty but roadworthy. I mounted a Topeak rack and Wald shopping basket on the rear. I also had a Transit trunk bag that mounted to the rack (possible removed by thief). The swapped the original saddle for a Forte Classic and the original stem for a shorter Forte as well. These are probably the most defining features of the bike. I don't think another Fuji will have my stem and saddle.

The photo is not my bike, but mine looks very similar to this model. What happened: I locked my Trek green/silver mountain bike to the bike rack in front of my classroom building. After class, I saw the bike (2:45) as I went to the gym for a quick run. I had locked the bike to the rack through the wheel, not including the frame. During the 45 minutes I was in the gym, someone detached the frame from the wheel and took off, despite there being people around that area of UIC's campus all the time. I hadn't realized I had not locked the frame in. So frustrating! Thanks for looking.

I *just* had work done (at Boulevard Bikes) on the rear fender bridge, so that will have some tightening/welding marks on it. Also: recently replaced pads (which look brand new). My U-lock was secured to the frame when it was stolen, so even if the U-lock is discarded, there will still be the clasp that holds the U-lock in place, secured onto the frame under the seat. There is a decal on the back fender that is worn almost off and illegible, but the traditional Dunelt saying, "Ride awheel on Sheffield Steel," is perfectly legible, in golden/yellow painted font, along the frame. I adore this bike and have seen very few others in Chicago, so I am hopeful that its rarity will help it stick out in a crowd and, ultimately (hopefully), recovered. NOTE: photo above is NOT MY BIKE; however it is exact same model. FOR REFERENCE ONLY. Bike was stolen from locked garage overnight, between the hours of 9pm on 5/13/10 and 9am on 5/14/10. The garage was locked with garage-door closed, but when I came out to the garage in the morning, the garage door was wide open and the bike was missing (nothing else was missing from garage, including a second bike, which was locked to itself). The garage door may have been pried open, or opened due to an electronic malfunction.

I am doing an internship at the Merchandise Mart. I went to work on Monday and during the day it was somehow stolen; bike, helmet, and lock. I came out at 5:00 pm and there was no sign of my bike anywhere.
