Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

We locked two bikes to the sign. There were several other bikes nearby. It was Sunday and busy. We went into the Cultural Center and looked around for 20 minutes. Came out and my bike was gone. All other bikes were there. I asked a guy that was sitting on the steps if he had seen anything, but he had not noticed anything.

Bike was stolen from bike racks under surveillance camera at new Morgan Pink line station. CTA attendant on site in view of bikes, but did not notice any suspicious activity. Left bikes for three hours while attending Taste of Randolph, so there was extra foot traffic in the area from people attending the festival.

I arrived at Prentice Women's Hospital for my 12-hour night shift at approximately 7:15pm on June 8th, 2012. I locked my bike up to a bike post at the corner of Superior and Fairbanks. When I left work at 8:00am on June 9th, 2012, my bike was missing and my bike lock was broken. I locked my bike with an On-Guard U-LOCK and an On-Guard cable lock. The bike is black, very new (purchased April 2012), a "small bike" (I am 5 feet and 5 inches tall), not very miles on it. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

The bike had been locked to the bike rack and to the frame of my friend's green Surly Long Haul Trucker. We locked up the bikes outside of the Northwestern Hospital at about noon on Monday, June 18, and returned back at 8 pm to find my friend's bike still against the rack with the lock cut and still hanging there with her helmet, and my bike gone. Because her bike was still there, I assume that mine hadn't been stolen too long before, perhaps during rush hour that evening. The picture of the bike I attached is roughly what it looks like...I couldn't find a picture of the same bike with my colors.

I had locked my bike with a heavy duty cable lock to a public rack in broad daylight in a pretty busy area. Someone must have come, cut the lock, and taken off with my bike, leaving me heartbroken!!

Came home from a long weekend out of town to discover my bike had been stolen from the rack in front of my building that it was U-locked to.

The bike was in our garage. Left the door open for a few minutes between trips taking in groceries.

There's not much to add... I locked the bike up and it was stolen between 5:45-7:45 p.m.

locked up my bike and came back after an hour and it was gone.

Came home from store, leaned bike against back porch in fenced in backyard, ran up stairs to put groceries away, eat some food, came back down 30 mins later, bike was gone. 6 pm. Broad day light. We have new neighbors across the street, they are very shady. They were out when it happened, claimed they didnt see anything. The cops have been at their place a few times in the last few weeks. They are noisy, dirty, rude. They wouldn't even talk to me when I asked if they saw anyone take my bike. I'm pretty sure they took it, but there's nothing I can do.

I was at a party and I had my bike out in the backyard of the house I was at along with 5 other bikes that were also not locked. Around 3am I get a call from a friend also at the party saying that a kid took off on my bike and they chased him but weren't able to catch him. He had an accomplice but no one would say anything about who they were when I tried to investigate.

I was at work and I got dinner at 6pm, bike was there. Came out of work at 12:30pm and bike was gone, bouncers in the area informed me they hadn't seen anything, but they said the street sign I had U-locked p o was not secured and was a bad place to lock my bike.

BIke locked at 9 a.m. and gone by 5 p.m..

Bike was brand new and chained to bike rack and cable was cut. There was a lock holder bracket on top frame bar.

bike stolen from garage in Old Irving Park... forced entry middle of morning. bike is very easy to spot - it is orange after all.

I returned to my apt around 8pm on Tuesday 12th and went through my gate into my back yard and down my gangway where I set it against my back door which is fairly private and not immediately visible from the front and slightly visible from the alley. I accidentally left it overnight which i NEVER do and not to my surprise it was gone by 9am in the morning when I finally checked.

Bike stolen from back of car. Stolen bike with Red Osprey Raptor hydration pack (3liter) and greenish Bern All Season helmet with white scratch/divot from a fall on the right side.

Taken from basement of our home. No sign of forced entry could have accidentally left door unlocked. Also possible lost key was used.

Locked the bike to a street sign in front of St. Nicholas on Oakley Blvd, adjacent to my apartment. When I left to take it to work the next following morning (June 13th, 10am) there was no sign or trace of it. I'm very sure it was stolen, as it seems some other bikes in the neighborhood were also taken that evening.
