Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Yellow giant TCR stolen from my back porch which is gated and locked.

I went and had lunch with my friend at Bru on Milwaukee ave in Logan Square. After we finished eating and visiting the book shop, we discovered my bike was missing. We went into the Yeti store and asked if anyone had seen anything. One employee told us he saw a white man with a hack saw saw off the lock and ride away on the bike.

my bike was stolen out of my garage. it was locked and hanging on the wall. Someone cut the lock in order to take the bike off of the wall.

Garage door left open, thief walked by and examined garage. All activity caught on surveillance video, including clear view of thief's face.

Man walked up to bike rack, looked at bike for about 10 minutes. Once the area was clear, he cut or sawed the lock off and removed the bike.

Bike was locked to a rack inside the bike room of the apartment building. It was locked using a "Foldylock" heavy-duty Bike Lock. The lock was wrapped around the mainframe and bike rack. The lock was severed/cut/ground down.

I locked my bike in front of my apartment unit door. So they came in through the locked front door of the building and up three flights. I use a cable and u-lock combo to lock my front tire and frame to a pipe. The white Kryptonite u-lock was taken with the bike. The cable was cut.

I last saw the bike in our interior bike room of our condo in October 2021. I checked on it on 3/14/22 and saw it was missing. No evidence on how it was taken. The bike was locked to a bike rack. That rack was in a bike room which used to have a lock on the door - common access key that hundreds of residents of the building have - but the bike room door is no longer locked (handle replaced with non-locking version). To gain access to the room, you must be past building security with doorman or fob access (or tailgating). There are cameras all over the condo, but no news on if the condo management was able to see who walked off with it.

A man, of dark complexion, wearing a black / blue windbreaker, jumped over the fence at the alley and came into our backyard. He then opened the garage door, which was unlocked and took the bike. He appears to have tossed the bike back over the fence and left through the alley as none of our camera's picked him up accept for about 5 seconds

Have RING footage of (2) individuals brazenly climbed over our relatively secure alley gate (9 feet tall with anti-scaling bars, motion-activated light and camera, etc). Once in our common courtyard they "picked" the side-entry doors to our garages, stole several bikes, and returned multiple times. In one case, they used some type of power tool to defeat THREE thick cable locks. Damage was also done to a car in the process.

My red/black Nishiki Men's Anasazi Hybrid Bike was stolen from my back porch at approximately 12:45 pm.

My bike was locked in a closed garage overnight with a cable lock that was locked to the frame of the bike and a metal pole within the garage. Upon waking up in the morning, I noticed the door to the entrance of the garage had been broken into and the bike lock had been cut and completely stolen. Nothing else in the garage was touched other than the bike and cable lock being cut and the bike was gone.

Bike was locked with a U Lock through frame and front wheel to a bike rack outside Whole Foods on Kingsbury. a man selling Streetwise magazines watched what happened. He reported to me that a man with an electric saw, cut through the U lock and road off with my bike. I was shopping for only an hour.

We were in the process of moving and the bikes were stolen from the enclosed garage

I left my light blue Trek bike locked to a bike rack on 4410 N Ravenswood Ave at 12:00pm. I went to get lunch and do some shopping. I came back to my bike at 1:50PM and my bike was missing with my Bell Zip Tie Bike Lock cut and left on the ground. I asked witnesses around sidewalk if they saw the crime occur. They did not.

Bike was inside my minivan. I am unsure how they gained access to the minivan.
