Our bikes were stolen from a locked back porch storage area some time between midnight and when we noticed at 815am. The bikes were not locked up to anything, but they were inside of a locked building. The thieves broke in through the back door of our building. Both our bikes and our neighbors’ bikes were stolen and our neighbors had locked their tires to the frames so the thieves must have had a vehicle or way to carry the bikes away not ride them away.

Bike was locked to the fence leading down my stairs. The bike was locked to the fence with a heavy duty steel link chain. This chain was interlinked through the bike and up through the railing locked by a combination lock. Piece of the lock were on the ground but the bike & chain was gone. The bike had no seat as I take the seat off after every ride. My neighbors were able to get blurry footage of the offender but not enough to be able to identify the theif.

My brand new bike was stolen from the building I reside in at 650 N Morgan Street. It was parked in a spot designated for bikes and cable locked. The theft took place overnight between 7pm 8/20/2020 and 8am 8/21/2020. My husband saw it the evening of 08/20/2020 around 7pm after he came home from his bike ride. I was recovering from a knee pain. Description of the bike: Bianchi Luna 42cm in matte black color with green Bianchi letters over it. Purchased date: 06/13/2020 from BFF bikes. I have a proof of the receipt and photos of the bike from our recent bike rides. Suspect: Smaller black lady with fuller body based on the building video footages. The building is 6-floor building with total of about 25 units total with secured doors and surveillance cameras around. This is not her first time breaking into our building and stealing things. She has taken our mails previously from our mail room and now my bike.
