Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike stolen in front of Lurie Children’s Hospital.

Someone broke into our underground garage that has parking for all 52 units of our building. They stole 3 bikes (one was mine). They also stole a radio and medical kit from another neighbors car.

Bike was stolen from our locked garage. The thief broke a window to gain entry.

Locked bike to bike rack with Kryptonite Evolution Mini Lock. Went into Mariano's to get some food. Witness saw African-American male use bolt cutters to take bike.

Locked bike out front of apartment at intersection of Belmont and Sheffield at approx 7.30am. Went to the dentist at 2pm and the bike was still there. Came out at 5pm and the bike was gone. The Kryptonite lock had been cut through and was left on the post.

This was the first time we tied the bikes to our smal back porch (which was adjoining the side walk) . My roommate checked on the bikes at 11 pm and then when we were about to head to bed at 2 am, we checked again and the bikes were gone. The lock was cut and left at the scene. They took both my bike - Gary fisher hybrid and my roommates bike which was a globe single speed road bike. Both bikes were tied together

I left my bike in our driveway next to our car after running an errand. It was there from 6pm onwards. I forgot to return it to the shed before heading to bed. I noticed it was gone the next morning

The bike was in my car when I parked it late last night in Rogers Park. The thief broke my car window, unlocked the doors and stole it.

Bike stolen from locked bike room in apartment building. We presume it was someone inside the building, as you need to be a resident to unlock the room.

Bike was locked inside of my building and the door must have been accidentally left open?

The bike was locked in a locked communal bike room. The theft could have been from another resident or property management worker since a key is needed to enter the room.

The bike was taken from my apartment buildings bike room.

Stolen from garage

I had a work session with coworkers on the exterior patio of Parson’s Chicken and Fish on Halsted in Lincoln Park. I locked my bike to a parking sign across the street around 12:30pm. When I went to leave around 5:00pm, the bike, was gone along with the lock and my helmet that was locked up with the bike.

Locked bike in front of building on bike rack at around 8pm on Sunday. Came back in the morning and the u lock was cut and left on the rack.

Bike was parked next to others in front of my back porch in an enclosed area. This morning my bike was missing, but roommates bike (also unlocked) was still there. The locked gate to the back of our building was open.
