Incident Description:
At some time between 10pm on 9/16/18 and 8:25am on 9/17, my bike was stolen from being locked up on the sidewalk
outside 561 W Briar (corner of Briar and Broadway). If you're facing the street from that apartment, it was locked to the middle street pole (the order is street
pole, street pole, orange metal bike stand). I had it locked with a U-Lock through both the front tire and the frame, so they
didn't cut it, but what they did do is loosened the bolt that keeps the street pole upright and connected to the base of the
street pole. After that, I'm assuming they slipped the pole up and either walked the bike away (would have been hard because
there was a black u lock on the front tire to the frame, and a smaller silver u-lock on the back tire to the frame), or threw it in a
car and continued down the one way street.
I've parked my bike in this spot overnight for 8 months, so someone could have
noticed that its usually there overnight. I have pictures of both the bike, and the street pole bolt that they took off.
The bike itself is a road bike with black wrapped drop style handlebars, a dark gray frame with light gray on the top, slim black
tires, gray rims, a black crankshaft, had a white silicone light on the handlebars, and a red coil lock locking the black seat to
the frame.
