Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The bike was locked using a U-lock to a bike rack in the court-yard. The theft happened over night, probably between 12-6am. A small piece of the U-lock remaining suggests that it was cut by a tool, and the remainder was removed from the scene.

Someone moved out of our condo and cut some bike locks. Stole my bike and perhaps others.

Bike was left in backyard unlocked. Sometime between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm, the thief rode up on another stolen bicycle, peeked over our fence and saw my unsecured bike and found it more to their liking. They ditched the other bike they stole in my carport and rode mine east down the alley, stopping at the end to cut the zip ties that held a black milk crate to the cargo rack and discarded the milk crate and u lock in the middle of the alley. The bike left behind was short bmx style, possibly children's size? Looks brand new, so maybe it was taken directly from a store or someone who just bought it. Any help finding it's proper home would also be greatly appreciated.

My bike was locked to a tree right in front of the FFC health club on 10 S. Clinton. The front of the building is all glass and my bike was in plane view of the front desk. The employees claim to have not seen anything.

Bike was unlocked in a private garage in the alley. Found to be missing around 9 AM, garage door was open (unclear if accidentally left open, or opened from the inside to leave with bike)

Bike was locked up to metal railing in front of building apartment complex which is located a few feet away from alley. A hispanic man was witnessed riding away with it. The bike and lock are both missing.

The bike was locked through both wheels and its frame to a street sign with a cable and U-lock. The signage itself (street parking regulations/metal signs on top) was removed- 2 metal sheets describing the parking permits, etc, were unscrewed and left on the ground and a garbage can from an alley was next to it. It appears maybe the bike was lifted off at the top of the entire post with the lock in-tact. No lock or bike parts left.

Bike was attached to gate in front of my building and someone cut it.

Bike was locked to street pole on Oakdale side of corner of Oakdale and Southport (Atheneum Theater). Stolen between 7:30 and 10:pm on July 16.

Probably stolen from garage when workmen going in and out.

The bike bike was left in the backyard and the gates were locked but someone must have took it the incident occurred in the Belmont cragin neighborhood

At 7:30 AM, I went outside and noted that both my bike and my roommate's bike had been stolen from our porch. They were locked to the porch via individual wooden railings. When I came home at 1:30 AM last night, they were both there. Some point between 1:30 and 7:30, the U-locks were removed with the wooden poles they were attached to and the bikes were stolen. My roommate will file a separate report about his bike.

Bike was hanging from the ceiling of our garage, not locked to anything. The lock was looped around the bike and was subsequently found in our trash bin in the alley. We are located in Wicker Park

Noticed that the lock was cut through. Neighbor to the left parking spot's bike was also stolen as well.

Royal blue Schwinn - older model in good condition. Tall hybrid bike

Bike was stolen along with lock from second bike rack south of Kinzie on Wells next to Merchandise Mart. Was in the middle of several other bikes.

Bike was located underneath stairwell of Potbelly, where I work.

* I am not sure of the time. The Bike was locked at 8:00 PM Monday, July, 18, 2016 and the missing bike was discovered 10:00 AM Wednesday, July, 20 Bike was locked in a designated bike rack in a locked area behind the building. It was locked second in from the right on a bike rack. The cable was through the back and the u lock was locked to the front. To access this area you must have a key to the building (or i guess be good at climbing gates).
