Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I left my bike at approximately 5:20 a.m in the bike rack at Life time Gym in the vestibule. I put it right next to another black bike to the farthest left side of the bike rack. When I came down around 8:00 a.m I noticed nothing was there. I went out and asked the concierge at 1 Chicago if I should let them know or the lifetime concierge. She directed me to lifetime so I spoke with the young lady there and filed an incident report. Incident report #307456. They tried looking for it in the other room but no luck.

I just moved to the suburbs to get away from crime and i had a surgery to remove a tumor in my right leg. I was using the bike to get to and from work from the train because it hurts to walk long distances. I parked my bike outside my office at 353 N clark. I came out later and every bike that was locked to the bike locks was gone including my specialized. I found multiple people who are selling 20+ bikes on facebook marketplace all post my bike. I messaged them to buy it but they removed it. One of them is still talking to me. I’m trying to go meet them to get it back. I have receipts for the bike. And every accessory still on the bike. Do not bring your bike downtown. If you do take it indoors. The same person who stole it has electric bikes and scooters i recognize all on his facebook for sale. That’s what i get for working hard and trying to get my family a better life. It took me so long to report it and i cannot get in touch with a officer to help me get it back. Expensive bikes like these are easy to prove it’s mine i have all the paperwork. I was goinf to meet them to get it back and they are not answering now.

Unclear of what day or time this happened since I’ve been working, but noticed my bike was missing today on 9/28. Likely happened sometime earlier this week. Happened in back common area that is gated/locked. Apt complex has a designated bike rack for tenants that my bike has been locked to for 3 years when not in use.

Work being performed by carpenter in back yard; bike stolen while garage open.

Bike was stolen from shared basement of apartment building with 4 units. The basement is only accessible to tenants, or anyone that is able to get into the locked building.

Someone broke into my garage and took it. It had the wheel brake on but was otherwise not locked.

Bike was locked to bike rack in entryway to Lech Walsa Hall on the campus of Northeastern Illinois University.

Noticed it sunday morning but was told it was gone the night before. Someone gained acces to my building and stole both my bike and my roommates by cutting the locks

Bike was stolen from locked residential garage (3 cars).

Someone broke into our property from our back gate (in the alley) & stole 2 Co-op Cycle bikes from our locked garage.

Woke up on 9/21 to our back alley gate wide open. Opened our side-entrance small garage door to find 2 bikes were stolen from our locked garage in Albany Park (near W Carmen Ave & N Avers Ave). They took nothing else (including our helmets & an older steel frame bike hanging right next to the 2 Co-op bikes). It seems deliberate & like they knew what they were looking for.

Locked bike in rack in front of building. Went to doctor appointment. When I returned the lock had been cut with a saw or angle grinder and the bike was gone.

My husband went out to the garage at 6:00PM and called to ask me where the bike was. It was not in the garage. We have an Apple AirTag attached which said it was in our garage at 2:00PM. The lock is also missing.

It was locked to the pipe in my apartment complex storage area. The lock was a foldable bike lock and was smashed opened.

Bike was in my unlocked garage. Thieves stole mine plus 3 others from neighboring garages.

Bike was brought into locked and high fence backyard at 12:30, gone when I came back outside at 2pm. Back gate was open so must have been taken out through the alley way. Potentially spotted by a neighbor blocks away two 20 somethings - male riding bike, woman in the kids seat.

Bike was behind a locked fence-- someone jumped the condo fence in order to get the bike

Bike was stolen from alley in lakeview east near addison and lake shore. Suspect was a white Male about 5'8 to 6 feet tall wearing a white shirt. Bike was taken right in front of my open back door.

Two Thieves cut bike lock from garage and stole this one bike

I locked up my bike last night around 7:00 and then when I returned this morning it was gone.
