A telltale detail would be on both sides of the front post the paint is rubbed and scratched off from my lock hanging there.

I lock my bike BEHIND a security fence at the back door of my apartment. I locked it with a heavy Kryptonite security chain, through the frame and rear wheel, around the largest support post of the fence. The chain was cut and the only evidence was a single broken link left behind. I think someone did not ensure that the security gate was fully closed, and that the thief was able to come around to the side the bike was locked on and cut the chain. Bike has front and rear reflectors as well as an led taillight. I discovered it was stolen when I got home this afternoon.

This had in red ink...my name,e-mail,cell# names of all the dogs i care for and read...Chicago's favorite Dogsitter on it.

The security officer from bank came out to see if i was ok...i was crying like a baby. i wanted to ask her to review security footage but i was too upset. I also used a blue/red bungie cord to secure the bike from any movement...it was real tight.

I locked my bike in the parking lot of the Clybourn Metra station at 6:30am. There's a bunch of bike racks underneath a shelter. When I returned at 6pm the bike was gone and a new bike was already parked in its place. Half of the lock was on the sidewalk. They had cut through the U lock just under where it connects to my bike when it's stored for riding.

Bike was purchased new on July 9 2012. The bike is predominantly Black with white graphics. Black and white saddle with "cannondale" on the top of it. bike has a small computer on it mounted on the stem near the top of the bars. Computer is a blackburn wireless, the sending unit is on the right side of the fork about halfway down. The reat reflector was removed from under the seat stem, however the wheels still have white reflectors and the handlebar has a single white reflector on it as well. The pedals are small black clip in type. there is a water bottle cage on the bike, however the bottle was at home. Black tape on the bars.

My bike was locked up with my boyfriends bike on our back porch inside an 8ft gated courtyard area. The bikes had been locked up there for 2 weeks. I last saw the bikes around 8pm on Friday August 17th when I came home for the evening. The bikes were locked up right next to our open bedroom window on the porch. In the middle of the night someone must have jumped the fence, cut the lock, took the bikes and walked out of the courtyard gate with them.

This is the second bike of mine stolen from my building. The first was a purple peugot mixty. I didn't lock it and sort of felt like that was my bad. Three weeks later, my brand new se lager was taken with it's lock on it. There are many bikes around my building that are self locked. They are all older, beat up moutain bikes and mine were nicer road bikes that are more sought after and easy to care off even with a locked wheel. I fell like this was done by a pro-bike thief that knows the worth of my bikes.

Went to the zoo with my family, beautiful day, practice day for air show. All 4 of us rode our bikes. We locked them to bike racks 30 yards from main entry. My bike was locked through the frame and rear wheel to my daughters Trek bike. I made the mistake of looping cable through both bikes and rack, but not using my U lock to attach to frame. Cable was looped to bike rack. So thief only had to cut the cable and he got 2 brand new bikes. There were crowds of people and police everywhere.
