Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was parked inside a local business along with other bikes. Individuals entered the building, grabbed bikes, and road off.

I locked the bike to a pole sept 7th around 8:30pm. came to it the next morning sept 8th at 9:06AM and it was gone, along with the lock

I was at a buddys house grabbing a very late dinner. My scott ebike was locked up out front of his house. When i returned an hour later it was gone.

Bike Locked while at work, from 8:00am to 3:45pm.

Bike was locked to metal wire rope inside garage with a u lock going through the frame and rear tire and a metal wire rope going through the tires thief cut the metal wire rope and took whole bike - was an organized theft with many bikes stolen in our building in July 2022

On Tuesday, September 6th, I noticed that my bike was not in my garage when I was leaving for work at 7:40 am. It had previously been in the garage when I was last in there on Saturday, September 7th at 1 pm. I asked my roommate if she moved it, and she said no. She said that she noticed that the garage was open at 3:30 pm on Sunday, September 8th. However, since we both always wait until the garage door is closed due to the high value of my bike, she assumed she accidentally clicked it open when she was walking to the garage from our apartment. She confirms that the garage door was closed as of Saturday evening. Our garage is a private, two-car garage. The only people with access are my roommate, maintenance staff, and me. All of them say they have not seen the bike. There is a small opening at the top of our garage. It is possible to use a long device to pull the cord and open it manually. There are multiple cameras in the alley that face our garage that have signs indicating 24 hour surveillance, but our property owner does not own any of them himself.

Someone entered our garage and stole the bike.

Bike was stolen from garage. Discovered morning of 9/6, but could have been any time after the afternoon of 9/5. Thief would have been able to jump the back fence and get in through the garage door inside the yard.

Just walked outside and saw it was gone

The bicycle was stolen from the second-floor patio entrance of my apartment. I had it locked on the stair rail of the patio. My dog heard a sound outside at around 11:10pm and the bike was gone along with the lock when I went to check. The thief left a Marianos' paper bag with a FedEx package I believe was also stolen (address: 2249 N Burlington St) and a can of beer inside. Looked around the neighborhood and saw a teenager or early twenties white male holding a skateboard and wearing a cap who looked to be out of place. He was possibly an accomplice.

I was in an allergy fugue on Thursday so the bike likely went missing between about noon on Thursday and when I noticed it missing at noon on Friday. The bike and lock were both completely gone.

Bike was stolen from basement of our locked building sometime between Sat Aug 21 4pm and Tues Aug 23 6:30 am. Many other bikes and other items were left alone, but this bike and another high-value road bike were both stolen. Method of entry into the building is unknown, but there have been a lot of strangers in and out due to two condo units being currently for sale. (realtors, movers, potential buyers, stagers, photographers, inspectors)

Bike stolen from apartment building in Andersonville

I believe my bike was stolen last night, as I saw it during the day. There were men working on the building, and the door was propped open with a concrete bucket, and I was in a rush and didn't lock up the bike.

The bike was locked overnight and was missing by morning
