I locked my bike up at night as I always do on the bottom of my stairwell. When I woke up to ride it to work this morning, it was gone. It's unusual because the bike wasn't in a place where no one can see it. It was surrounded by apartment buildings. I assume someone must have cut the lock and took off with it late in the night.

I found the velcro that ties the bike lock up at the "scene of the crime" - leading me to believe that the lock was cut through with some type of bolt cutter. I was in my gym for approximately one hour and the bike was stolen some time between 9am and 10am.

My bike was locked in front of my gym at 1030 N. Clark, Chicago IL. I locked it a bike rack and when I returned in an hour the bike was gone. The velcro that ties up the lock was located on the ground where I left my bike - leading me to assume that someone cut through the lock with some type of bolt cutters. However, both the bike and lock were gone when I returned.

My Fuji Cross Comp is black and silver with a red Fuji logo on the side. The bike is a little dirty but roadworthy. I mounted a Topeak rack and Wald shopping basket on the rear. I also had a Transit trunk bag that mounted to the rack (possible removed by thief). The swapped the original saddle for a Forte Classic and the original stem for a shorter Forte as well. These are probably the most defining features of the bike. I don't think another Fuji will have my stem and saddle.
