Went to the Lincoln Park Zoo on a family bike outing. Spent a few hours at the zoo, went to breakfast at the Original Pancake House and returned to find my bike and my daughter's trailer bike missing. The bikes were parked directly in front of the zoo at the bike rack. My bike was locked, the trailer was not. The bastards did not even leave the helmets!

not great condition. It's been called a coffin. There is rust on the handle bars and the gripping is almost all the way off on the left side. The wheels have a yellow tint, as many of the cheaper ones do. ... the brakes are not very strong and the brake handles have chipping red paint on them. Not the best condition but it served me well... and i wouldn't mind it back.

This bike was purchased on May 29, and stolen 3-4 days later from our garage. The thief used a bolt cutter to shear through a fairly large stainless steel cable, leaving behind the lock. The thief left behind a DAWES 10 speed bike with white handles and a well worn leather seat attached to this bike is a red back pack I assume they carried the bolt cutters in. I will be reporting the discovery of this bike ASAP.

Old steel Bridgestone 3900, beloved bike I used to race on. Clearest identifying (non-changeable) features are the 1980s classic lugged frame, now painted a solid black, and Dura-Ace cranks and Dura-Ace brakes, unchanged since the bike was bought. When stolen had silver handlebar tape, mismatched (white/black) bar end caps, new clipless Time pedals. The saddle is I think a Serfas, somewhat worn on the sides. Ultegra rear derailleur; the front derailleur still Dura-Ace. New wheels from last year: black rims, 36 ? spokes, tires with blue edge. Things that might change: blue seat pack, two plastic water bottle cages (one broken), pump peg on top tube, mount for handlebar light.

Bike was locked with only a latte lock (thin combo lock, not the safest) to a bike rack in the Harper Quadrangle at the University of Chicago just for the duration of a class, 1:30-3 PM on a Tuesday. Heavily trafficked area, far from a street, in the heart of campus - did not seem like a high-theft-likelihood location. Both bike and lock gone at end of class.

The bike has been used for about 15 years, so it had signs of wear. Such signs included: rust spots on both rims the pole that ran parallel and next to the chain had long had its paint rusted off and semi-covered in oil Distinguishing features: the handlebar extensions had long been removed. That left the bike with normal, straight handlebars with about an inch of space between the end of the rubber grips and the end of the handlebar that was rusted/had some paint removed from removing the extensions. the front wheel had a small piece of plastic on a spoke that served as part of a speed tracker for an electronic device on the bike at one point, the rest of which has since been removed a missing kickstand a missing drink holder (it was replaced in the same holes by a holder for a small hand pump (pump was not in the holder at the time of theft))

My bike was stored in my storage locker in my garage at 1224 Chicago Ave. The thief wasn't able to break the lock so they cut off the mechanism that connects the lock to the door. They only stole my bike and left all of my other items. I filed a police report with the Evanston police, I cant find my receipt with the Police Report #. See attached photo of my Fastback bike. Please contact me if you see it. I just had brand new top of the line components installed and I never got to use them.
