Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I locked the bike frame, seat and front tire up to a street sign. I did this with a cable lock on Lasalle near Chicago ave. I assume someone cut the cable lock and took the bike and the cable lock. There was nothing on the sidewalk left where I locked the bike up. The bike was only locked up for only 2 hours but it was in the evening/ busy time. So it would have been easy for someone to cut the lock.

Kryptonite NY Fughettaboutit lock was cut. Bike stolen sometime during the day on 4-1-2010 from a bike rack at the Edgebrook Metra station.

This bike (the Raleigh) was locked only to itself (front wheel to downtube) and hanging in my garage. it is the bike picturred except that it no longer has the rack installed and now it has Nitto Mustache handlebars wrapped in brown bar tape. Thieves managed to open overhead garage door with brute force. Also stolen were a woman's Trek 7200 Multitrack, hunter green color, and a small man's Trek 700 Multitrack, gold color. The gold Trek is very distinguishable because it has a GT BMX stem and Dyno BMX handlebars, but still retaining the original Gripshifters and brake levers. Both Treks will be missing their front wheels as those are still locked to the rack inside of my garage.

U-lock was locked through the back wheel and the frame and then locked to a cable with a padlock that was connected to two eye bolts in a closed garage. The eye bolts were sunk into two studs.

The bicycle was parked under a covered porch and there are two doors in the back of the building. It was hidden from plain sight. Either someone else in the building didn't lock the back door or the thief got in through one of the windows.

Locked up bike through both tires to bike rack outside and to the right of Noble Tree Cafe at 11:30. It was not the only bike locked on the rack however I made sure not to lock in the other bike. I double checked the lock before I went inside to be sure it was fastened securely. When leaving the cafe 8 hours later bike and lock were both gone.

At 2:30pm today I locked up my bike with a U-lock through the frame to a "no parking" sign in front of a loft building to work for a few hours. When I came out at 5:30pm, the bike was missing along with the U-lock; there was no damage to the sign, and another bike locked up to a nearby pole was still there. The bike is a Redline 925 with bullhorn handlebars, a gel "anatomical relief saddle for women," a Planet Bike light on the front with a broken clasp held together with black plumbers tape.

Bike was in my garage, someone took it. Reward for return. Thanks.

I had my bike locked on the backyard fence all day while I was inside my friends home. We went outside for a bit, approximately at 3:30 went on a walk and were back around 4pm. The bike was stolen within this short period, which makes me believe the burglar saw us leave. It was locked to a residential fence and cut off.

Bike was in the building's locked bike storage room. Most bikes, including mine, are not kept locked because the room is supposed to be secure. It is possible that the construction workers that were working on the building had access to that room. Missing since Christmas. Police report was filed, but I can't find the report number at the moment.

Parked bike in front of office at 9 AM with 2 OnGuard U-locks (had just had previous bike stolen 2 weeks before so I was paranoid). Ulocks were through each wheel and frame locked onto city bike rack. Came out at the end of the workday and bike and locks were gone.

Last night, I neglected to lock the bike to a metal cabinet (per usual) in my enclosed porch/storage. The thief propped open the porch door and quietly wheeled the bike into the back alley. I was home all morning when the incedent occured and saw/heard nothing.

This bike was stolen along with the Cannondale Six13 Triple pictured below. The neighbor left the garage open in the morning, and the bikes were taken. *Please note the picture for the Trek is not the actual bike but the closest one I could find to match it's description. The actual Trek should have: Crank Brothers Eggbeater Pedals, Carbon "Suicide Bars", Bontrager Tires, Kryptonite U-Lock + Holder.

The bike was located in a closed keypadded garage that only my neighbor and my roommates had access to. The neighbor CONFIRMED she left the door open this morning. It had to have been stolen sometime this morning because my roommates and I have not used the garage in a couple days and the bikes were there last time we checked.

Locked up my bike and left it in the Logan Square Blue Line Station while I went to class. Got off the train and my bike was gone. It was only there for about 4 hours, between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. It was inside the station right by the Kedzie entrance, locked to the bike racks. If somebody has seen it or saw anything please let me know! Thanks, Alex

Bike was stolen out of our garage right after its maiden ride. This bike was going to be used for the MS150 bike ride and generate money for a worthy cause. It needs to be found and returned. Not only was it a gift from my husband, but my sister has battled MS for 35 years. This was going to be my first of many rides. Please help me find it.

The bike was locked to an iron fence, nest to another bike which was not stolen. Both bikes had new krypotnite locks, but mine got cut through. My bike was seen by a friend within 1 hour of it being stolen. It was during a party and people were leaving so they must have cut through it quickly.

Bike was locked to a bike rack with a new U-Lock. I went inside for 1 hour and came out to find my bike gone.
