The bike was locked to a single loop bike rack in downtown. I went inside my gym, and when I came out, the cut cable was laying on the ground, and the bike was gone. There were security guards on duty at the gym and the Canadian consulate but, of course, no one saw anything. This was close to sunset, and in heavily trafficked area, and my bike was the only bike on that bike loop. It must have been an obvious crime, that I would expect someone to have seen... ??

Good condition, but frame has dings and scratches, some of which have nail polish over them. Front fork is carbon fiber, also black. Has a whitish scratch on one side, I believe. Headset is blue (I believe Chris King). Drop bars with black and light blue tape; both front and rear brakes. White reflective tape on various parts of the frame, including the crankset, which is black. Rear wheel is flip/flop (single-speed/fixed). Yellow Crank Bros. pedals. Yellow water bottle holder. Chain is relatively new, with a snap-lock joiner.

Locked bike to bike rack outside of Welles Park Saturday afternoon (around 2 PM). Arrived back at location Sunday morning, approximately 9 AM. Found the remains of the Kryptonite lock, which had been cut with what appeared to be bolt cutters. The lock was under the snow, which started sometime this morning, so I assume it was stolen sometime during the night.

I was out at work and my son left his bike after riding around a bit in our back courtyard area under the stairwell that leads up to our apartment. My intention was to put it away when I got home. By the time I went to go get it and bring it in the storage unit it was gone. It is brand new, just got all the bells and whistles and once over, he has ridden it twice and already gone. I am baffled as to who did this as the bike was hidden from the street.

My bike is a women's hybrid(? - may be mountain). It is blue with silver cheverons, and has 21 gears. There was paint damage on head tube on both the left and right side. When I went for a ride, I put my lock on the handle bars, so it bashed into the post and chipped off the paint. Certain gears cause a light thumping noise. Aside from the fact that it badly needs a tune up, the bike is in great condition. No size, but the wheels are 26x1.95. I do not have any registration or other identifiers for my bike, unfortunately.

I locked up my bike when I went to class, through the front wheel and around the wheel posts. It was on DePaul University campus, outside of Seton Hall, at about 5:00pm. When I came back at 10:00pm, it was gone. The thief detached the front wheel and lifted the posts out of the u-lock. The front wheel remained locked to the rack. The theft has been reported with DePaul campus security.

On Monday 2.23.2009 after work I locked my bike up in front of the CRUNCH gym at Wabash/Grand I locked my bike to the bicycle rack in front with a Combination Cable lock. I put it through the rear wheel and the front wheel through the frame and the bike rack. Within the 1.5 hours I was in the gym my bike was removed. Both the bike and the lock were gone. I have no clue what could have happenedf especially since it was so quick.

Stolen from inside a locked garage at Western & North Ave, anytime between 2/12 and 2/16. Thief cut the cable lock and left it at the scene. The garage is shared with 10-15 other tenants and many of them keep their bikes locked up in the garage, however, only mine was stolen. Another tenant had birthday presents stolen out of her car while parked in the garage, so one of the tenants with garage access may be a thief. If you see a yellow Gary Fisher bike with Leinenkugel Honey Weiss stickers in the Chicagoland area, it's most likely mine since it's a special edition and only a handful were made.
