Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

i left the bike locked to the guardrail @ 120 s riverside @ 8am. the previous day, bike racks had been removed and relocated to adams st. without the racks avail, i used the guardrail. i returned to the location @ 3pm to find the bike missing. is it possible it was removed by the city?

I went into the chicago school across from the merchandise mart - i locked my bike with a new kryptonite u lock to a railing/fence through the front tire and frame. I came down for lunch and it was still there, I came back from lunch and it was gone within a 45 minute window. The lock was left on the raiing/fence closed. I have no idea how they got it off. It is a brand new bike and I need it to get to school.

I lock it up in the same place every day, near the same bikes each time. I think someone had his eye on my bike and just decided they wanted it. There wasn't anything special about the incident, unfortunately. I rode it to work, locked it up, went to work, came back and it was gone.

Bike was missing seat as I took it off before incident. Was chained to an unsafe object and cut away with lock still entact...Totally my fault. Really loved this bike, though, so if you see it, please contact me ASAP.

I have a locked inclosed back porch on the second level which I use as bike and fabric storage. Someone, my upstairs neighbor, left the door unlocked after I left my apartment around 10:45am. My boyfriend arrived home @ 1pm and noticed my helmet was sitting on the floor but my bike was gone. He called me asking why i was out biking without a helmet. When I told him that I wasn't on my bike we realized someone had taken my bike. This bike was my first ever road bike and my boyfriend and I put a lot into it. Please help me find my baby. If found I would definitely be willing to offer some sort of reward or compensation. Thank you.

Believe the bike lock was cut with bullcutters as it was left at the scene. Locked outside less than an hour outside of a friend's house in a residential area. There were several other bikes in the area.

Usually there are about 4 bikes parked outside my building. Today I went downstairs and there were none, and mine was definitely one of the none. Honestly not sure what time of day it happened, but it was there yesterday.

Left my bike in my backyard where I've kept it for more than a year. Got up to go to work and she's just gone. No trace. My mood darkens.

While people were home at my apartment, hanging out upstairs (we have a duplex), someone entered the lower floor of the apartment, where the door was apparently unlocked. My bike was just in the downstairs living room area, and the thief removed the bike from my apartment. Attached photo shows the bike before I put different handlebars on it. It currently has straight, short bars with blue Oury mountain bike grips. Also, the seat on my bike is different from the photo, but I'm not sure what model seat I had.

I had my garage door open and unattended for, literally, less than 1 minute and there was a gang of guys outside in my alley who must have come in and rode off with my bicycle. They were hanging out across the alley at the Pritzer School on Damen (my garage backs up to the alley that is along the schoolyard of Pritzker). By the time I came out and realized that my bike was missing, I asked some guy in the alley if he saw someone on a bike ride by he said that the guy literally just rode off and turned the corner. I hopped in my car, but couldn't find him. He rode off toward Humboldt Park.

My bike was stolen!

I locked it to a railing across from Duffy's Bar. When I returned later the next day, the barricade was gone, so I assume a city official has my bike. It was securely locked, so it had to have been taken along with the barricade, which was previously chained to a fence.

Bike was locked to railing outside of Crown Hall at The Illinois Institute of Technology main campus (several other bikes were locked to same railing). I was in the building approximately 2.5 hours from 9 am.

Stolen from bike rack inf ront of 77 w wacker between 12-6pm. Reward offered-no questions

Bike was parked in yard unattended for 5 minutes with another bike. Both bikes were stolen. Neighbor saw Blue junker truck pass thru alley near the time it was stolen.

Lock was cut off and taken with bike inside a garage.

Someone left the back parking lot unlocked and someone took 2 of the 4 bikes.

If your road bike with a grey saddle bag was just stolen from the Ogilvie Transportation Center, two middle aged men in a white compact pickup (Ford Ranger?) clipped your lock and were off in 20 seconds. This happened at 3:30 pm and they were headed East on Washington. Maybe it was on camera. Good luck.
