Left bike on back balcony for a few hours while moving in.

I went to class at DePaul University. Locked my bike and 2 hours later I returned and my bike was gone, along with the lock.

Locked the bike to the city bike holder at station. Put lock through both wheels and left. When I came back everything was gone.

The shocks were locked through the front tire and through the pole. It had to have been not to long ago. My bike means evrything to me don't have a lot of money

its just all brown i took out the se lager stickers... one side of the bike has no scratches but the other side has scratches especially on the top tube..

I normally lock my wheel to the frame but in a hurried moment, did not. Our tall privacy fence was recently partially burned, creating an opening to see through. the thieves (may they burn in hell) probably lifted the bike over the burnt area onto a truck. Including parts, the bike is probably only worth $200, max.

Bike was locked to a tree in front of 311 W Superior from 9:30 am, last noted being present around 3:30 pm, noticed missing at 6 pm. The street is very busy with all the galleries on both side of the street. A high traffic are on foot and car. The thief must have been very fast and brazen.

I had U-Lock around frame and bike rack with the cable going through the front wheel. I came outside after work to find the bike gone and the cable lying on the ground. I am not sure how they got the u-lock off. They cut the cable. Looks like they tried twice as there was a partial cut in another place on the cable.

A parent called the school saying that a person that was standing around for a while had picked the lock and rode west on 95th street.

Someone defeated a kryptonite mini ulock while the bike was locked to a bike rack in front of Union Station in the loop. This was a brand new ulock, and close to the toughest you can buy. The lock was removed from the scene so I do not know how it was compromised, but I would guess it was cut. A similar style, but much older and not in very good condition, bike was left unlocked in the exact same location where my bike was stolen. An older all-white Gyro helmet was also locked to my bike and stolen.

Went over to a friends for the night and locked the bike to a street sign in front of the building. between 11 pm and 7 am someone removed the street sign from the ground, removed the bike from the pole and left the pole lying on the ground.

I locked it in a stupid way just because I wasn't going to be very long. Dumb move on my part. Apparently there have been a lot of bikes getting stolen in my neighborhood lately.

The bike was locked to itself with a U-lock through the front wheel and frame and a cable lock through the rear wheel. It was visible from the alley and the gate sometimes sticks, so I think someone was able to get in through the gate and carry off the locked bike, because I couldn't find the broken lock.

Stolen during the day, was properly locked to the bike rack outside of my building. Filed a police report and heard that another bike had been stolen earlier in the day about 1-2 blocks away at a different office.

The bike was locked with a U-lock to a parking sign on the south side of Montana St. about 50 feet from Lincoln Ave. The bike was locked at the location after 7:00pm and gone by 11:00pm. In the area there were security personal guarding equipment being used for a film shoot. By 11pm, the bike was missing and the sign it to which it had been locked was laying in the parkway. The sign had pulled out of the ground.

I last saw the bike at 4pm on Monday, May 26, upon leaving the house to go to a BBQ. I returned that evening around 9pm, but do not recall whether the bike was there or not - I didn't look for it since I was not anticipating it be stolen. The bike and lock were gone this morning at 9am, no evidence of a bike ever having been there was found. Having previously lost a bike due to my own negligence (cheap cable lock and poor locking technique) I'm positive I locked my bike with the Kryptonite U-Lock, with the new Flat key, through the frame and front wheel to the City of Chicago n shaped bike rack, located approximately 5 feet from my front door. I woke up around 4am from the sound of strong gusts of wind blowing the Deli sign located outside of my window, and again, did not look to see if my bike was missing - I feel like if the sign blowing in the wind woke me up, the sound of someone sawing a u-lock surely would have as well. The bike and lock are gone. :(

The U-Lock was probably sawed off. It happened at night, very likely. If you see a bike like it, it is very distinctive and hard to mistake, please call/take a photo. Thanks very much for your help! -Adam

My bike was stolen out of my basement there was no aparent break in so I can't say for sure when it happened just that one day I went down there to ride it and it was gone. I found it very odd because nothing else was taken just the bike.

I leanded my bike to my friend. He did not bring it back that day. He say "He had a flat left it at a friend house and would bring it back to me today at 8:00 am" which he did not. I heard he sold my bike for some crack which make this whole situation wack.

Bike was left overnight locked to a bike rack on a major university thoroughfare, next to the busy student center. The lock was fairly well mangled, with the plastic rubber coating peeled back from the keyhole and deep scores in the steel. Only one arm of the U was successfully freed, and the entire thing is bent.
