Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I came back to my apartment after being out for 3 hours and the back gate was open. I walked up to my second floor porch where I had locked my bike and it was no longer there. It was previously locked to the porch metal railing and covered with a tarp. Lock was cut and left on the porch.

The bike was there he 26th in the afternoon but was gone the morning of the 27th.

I left my bike where I always leave it in the stairwell of my building next to my apartment. The door to the building was replaced this year with a newer glass door, one that would lock behind you. I woke up and noticed my bike missing and what appeared to be forced entry marks on the building entrance door.

Bike was stolen from in front of my apartment where at least 2 monitoring cameras where in view of the bike rack sometime between Jun 22 when I last saw the bike and Jun 24 when I noticed bike missing because I wanted to use it.

Bike was locked in bike rack definitely through frame and front tire (might have missed the rack itself, but unlikely) at 8am in front of 150 N Riverside Plaza Building. At 5:45pm bike was noticed missing with nothing remaining (no lock).

Longshot, but my red and black Schwinn Frontier mountain bike was stolen from my backyard today near Montrose and Troy. There are a group of guys that tend to mill about on Troy and Montrose, and I know buy drinks at both David's and Prestige. This was a total crime if convenience, as I think my back gate blew open, and the bike was right inside, visible to the street. Whoever took it left my helmet and lock (yes, it wasn't locked). So I tend to think they know me. The body is scratched up from locking it against sign posts, and the back wheel has a Burley trailer hitch installed. Thanks!

Locked to bike rack with kryptonite cable which was cut through with bolt cutters

Was out of town for the weekend. Bike was inside my apartment building foyer.

The bike was stolen from a basement storage room at my workplace, a block south of Wrigley Field on Clark. Someone went into the storage room, and then took it out the back by way of a staircase that leads into the alley.

I locked the bike up at a bike rack just East of the Emergency Room entrance of Norwegian American Hospital at 1044 N Francisco Ave. around 6:45am. I came out of work at 6pm to find it was stolen. The security office has footage of the guy taking my bike. Picture below is not my exact bike, but the same model and color frame.

Most likely, someone who lives in the building left the garage door open, someone came inside and stole it.

Bike was kept in a common area bike room / laundry room. It appears someone gained entrance to the room and took a number of bikes.

I left my bike locked to a bike rack outside an apartment building. I used a cable combination lock, locking it through the front wheel and frame. I also included my helmet and rear rack net through the cable. When I returned about two hours later my bike was gone.

Three bikes were stolen from a back storage area in a locked residential building. The bikes were stolen some time between 8:00am and 3:00pm.

Incident occurred sometime between Friday, June 14 afternoon and Monday, June 18 at 11 am in the common room lobby of the apartment at 5128 S Kimbark Ave (managed by Kass Management. Outside gate and building are both locked. The bike was locked to the common space bike rack with a cable attached to a U-lock. The cable was cut and I found it this morning. The bike is royal blue mountain bike with the word "CANNONDALE" and "F7" written down the side of the frame. Thick black tires, black seat, and straight handlebars, with grey tennis tape wrapped around the grips of the handlebars. The back of the bike has a solid metal black bike rack attached upon which a grey milk crate was attached with zip ties (possibly removed by thief). There was also a small handheld tire pump clipped to the side of the frame. I bought the bike used two years ago but it is in excellent condition.

The theater was robbed of computers, cash, electronics and this bicycle.

It's hard to say exactly how this happened - I've been out of town for a week, and today upon getting home I went to the garage to find the bike gone. Our garage doesn't show signs of being broken into, we've never had issues in the past. But it's gone.
