Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was locked at bike rack in front of Presidential Towers, 555 W. Madison. Went to nearby health club. Bike was found missing along with lcok about 45 minutes later. No traces found at scene and no known witnesses.

The bike was stolen from an enclosed area right from in front of my apartment door. This is the usual spot I've been leaving the bike and we've never had any incident before (others store their belongings outside their apartment too).

Bike was locked up on Wood Street right off of the 606 Trail entry way on Wood St.

Thief stole bicycle from the McDonald's Cycle Center. He was caught on camera.

I locked my bike outside of the UChicago hospital, went inside for less than 10 minutes, and came back out to find it gone. A CPD officer sitting across the street on his bike probably watched it get stolen.

Bike was locked to bike rack outside First Free church. Stolen during the church service.

We have a 2 car garage. One garage door for each side. The side that contained our family's bikes was closed. The side where our car was parked was open. You cannot see into the garage unless you walk inside. The thief scratched up the side of our car removing the bike from the opposite side of the garage. There was a medical supply pack on the back of the bike. A couple of the contents were strewn about the driveway. I believe the bike was stolen from our garage and loaded into a van or uhaul type truck. With the tall checkerboard flag on the back it could not have been stuffed into a car or a covered pickup. It was a well known bike in the area. Someone was waiting for their opportunity and got it.

Bike was stolen from out of our garage sometime after 5 pm on Friday. Our neighbors had movers come through the garage and they left the garage door partially open. We discovered the bike was missing on Saturday morning.

stepped out of my house to go to the store and by the time I got home it was gone. It was sitting in my back yard. I usually leave it inside but the one times leave it outside it gets stolen

Bike was stolen from bike rack at E. Lake St. and Stetson Ave. in front of Prudential Plaza.

Left my back attached to a street sign (2 locks) at 6 pm. When I came back to pick it both locks were cut. Called the police, they said "you don't have insurance, the report will do no good", and the hang on me. Picture is of the bike when I just got it (without many od the things described before)

Bike was missing when i left the house this morning. Deck railing had been disassembled.

The bike was outside of the apartment before the Billy Joel concert. I verified that it was still there and locked at 8 pm. I made dinner at my apartment and once again checked outside around 10 pm to check on the status of the bike and listen to the end of the concert. I assume it was stolen by someone returning from the concert. I woke up at 7 am and saw that my bike was not there, and the Combination Cord Lock was cut and left on the rocks in front of the apartment building.

Bike was in our building storage unit, which was locked. The lock to both the building and storage unit was picked. Two bikes were stolen from our storage unit.

Side entrance door to garage was kicked in and the bike was stolen. Opened the main garage door on the way out.

My bike was in our back yard, in the back outdoor stairwell; not visible from the street. Our property is surrounded by a metal gate, but the front by the street was not locked. Our dog barked; we checked it out and found the front gate wide open and my bike missing from the back yard.

Bike was stolen off third floor balcony. No ladder or stairs to balcony. Entrance from inside home. Home wAs never broken into. Unsure of time Bike in left on picture
