Bike locks were cut and bike was taken out of a private garage

The bike was locked in front of a McDonalds on Cermak and Central. It was on a tree,

Locked my bike to a regular inverted U rack that I often do, but didn't double check it like usual, because there was a family getting out of a van parked next to me. Went upstairs to my friend's apartment, came back down three hours later and it was gone. There was a puddle of water at the base of the post it was locked to that wasn't there before. The rack was still firmly attached to the pavement. I staggered up and down the busy street for a while in disbelief, battling tears, then pulled myself together a bit. Unfortunately neither the business it was directly in front of nor the business across the street have clear sight lines to the rack, as I found out when I went in to check, though the travel agent at Costa Azul said he didn't think he had seen a bike when he got in at 10:30. In short, I don't know how the bike was stolen in the middle of an active street, though I'm pretty sure I secured it.

I locked up the bike next to the 300 LaSalle building downtown so I could have lunch at the salad shop nearby, my bike was missing when I came back. It's a very busy street/sidewalk with a lot of business people walking to/from jobs to lunch, so it had to have been fast or nobody cared to stop them.

Bike was outside of my apartment on the banister where our bikes have been kept since others have been stolen before. We are on the fourth floor. Someone came up and took the bike and got it out of the building without being noticed.

I believe the bike was stolen during the early hours of the morning.

Bike was left over the weekends along with 5 other bikes in the building. I believe that 2 other bikes are missing as well. Bike is locked there all the time and it is inside the apartments storage area so someone knew it was there that has access to the back of the building.

Garage behind house accidentally left open; bike taken during 90-minute window.

Bike was in my garage.

I locked my bianchi bike to the no parking pole and sign last Friday night right outside my apartment on Flournoy still. When I walked outside the next morning and it was gone. There were scratch marks on the pole but the top sign was still intact. No sign of the lock being broken. I don't know how they stole the bike. U-lock was attached through front tire and frame of bike.

The thief took a cinder block that was in the yard and smashed the wooden bannister where the bike was locked (newer u-lock w/flat key). I was not home, but my boyfriend heard a sound and went outside and saw the thief riding away down our alley. They did not steal our other bicycle which was only locked to itself nearby (a Trek Allant), so they knew the value of the Bianchi. They also left behind a bag of Flamin' hot Cheeto's and a nearly empty bottle of Colt 45. The bike has a Planet Bike Brand rear rack, a Bontrager saddle, and a Knog Blinder 4 front light. The Kryptonite Series 2 lock is most likely still attached to the bicycle.

Locked bike to a metal post in a courtyard within an apartment complex.

A friend gave me a ride to work and my bike was in the back seat of his black POS Jeep Cherokee. Car was parked on Ogden near Rockwell, in front of Cinespace film studio, where we were working. Window was smashed and bike was stolen between 11:30am and 1pm.

Either stolen monday or tuesday night, last saw the bike monday night and went to retrieve wednesday morning

Bike stolen from garage.

I keep my and my girlfriends bike in our back storage unit which is connected to our back door, it has another door leading to the side gangway of our building. that door also locks, which is why I dont lock the bike when it is stored there. The landlord is doing work to the exterior of the building and the workers who received a key from the landlord are using that storage space for tools and using the outlets in there to power their tools. They left the door open and the side gangway gate open while they were working and apparently while they left the job site as well. I left for work at 6am 10/10/14 and returned 330 pm 10/10/14 to find my bike missing and the gate and door unlocked and opened.

Bike was locked to another bike and a metal frame in a secured residential parking lot. Bikes were missing when we returned home from work on Oct. 9.

Bike was stolen from secured parking garage at some point between 8:30pm on October 8 and 8pm on October 9. The bike was locked to another bike (also stolen) and a metal railing

Locked in bike rack by Whole Foods Market Parking Garage at 1101 S Canal. Lock cable was probably cut.

Bike was stolen from the intersection of Dearborn & Superior (SW corner) on Chicago's Near North side.
