Condition of Bicycle / Distinguishing Features:
like new, slight rust marks on horizontal bike frame from leaning up against a rusty pole, bright solid orange letters (cannondale, CAAD10) written on the bike frame, also had some pastel blue lines added to the design. Had a matching white saddle with orange and pastel blue lines on it. If it still had accessories on it, there will be cloudy white bike pedals, a silver head light off center to the left. The plastic frame of the light was secured with a black twist tie where a screw could not fit. There was a small black schwinn saddle bag under the saddle with a bell rear light attached to the saddle bag.
Incident Description
Which type of area was your bike stolen from?:
Sidewalk in front of an open business.
How was the bike locked?:
Locked through front wheel and frame to object.
How long was the bike locked in this location?:
4 hours but I saw it two hours before it was stolen
Incident Description:
I believe my bike was taken between the hours of 7:30p and 10P upon returning from a running group meetup and event from Benchmark. I saw the u-lock still attached to the pole with a part of the cable still attached to the lock. The person likely cut through the cable and took the bike since I did not have the u-lock on the frame but only on the cable that day. It was possible that the person rode away from north ave, towards w eugenie st, to avoid being seen by a busy street due to a part of a velcro attached to my cable was found farther down the street away from where my bike was locked.
