Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was locked to a pipe in the basement of apartment near corner of Ohio and Ada, requiring key access. Bike was discovered missing at 8 am on June 20th, and last seen at 6:30 pm on June 19th. This is the second bike missing from this area in a month (first bike was locked to a rack outside of the building--a blue/grey Redline bike).

Bike was stolen from my garage. Lock was picked.

I locked my bike to a bike rack in front of Lawrys restaurant on Michigan & Ontario, walked around the corner into Eddie Bauer for about 3 minutes, walked back and the bike was gone. A valet across the street saw someone come up and steal the bike (not sure how they got through the lock) and ride off with it down Ontario. They tried to shout for the police but the thief was long gone by the time I got back and started piecing things together.

My son left his bike in our backyard for ten minutes while he went inside the house. When he got back outside 10 minutes later, the bike was gone, with no sign of who took it. The bike is a walmart adult bike, mostly grey and silver with black seat and handlebars. If seen, please report to local police stationm, as we have filed a report, or call me at 7734014352.

had bike locked up for work at 7:15 am. got off work at 4 and it was no longer there. it was located at 525 west Monroe

Bike was in an enclosed porch with a locked gate with no view of bike. Appears thief scoped property, climbed over fence, walked up to 2nd floor patio and left with bike.

I believe someone must of cut the lock and took the picture. The street - Melrose 1 block north of belmont is an one way street that is pretty well trafficked there other bikes that were locked to similar poles when I went outside to find my bike - none of those bikes were missing.

It was locked on post in 925 w huron close residential area near chicago blue line and the post was removed and cut and lock including bike was gone. Maybe some gangsters picked it up in a van quickly???

Bike was located inside my place of work. Thief came in, walked into the back room and walked out with the bike. Didn't see his face, but was wearing a flannel and a bike helmet.

2 bikes were locked together on the NW corner of LaSalle & Maple streets. We locked them together through the frames and front tires to a u post on the street. We came back to find both missing. I only have the serial # for the men's bike - they were matching.

Stolen from my front yard, with me in the house & my kids in the backyard on father's day.

I think they cut the "kryptonite" wire and busted the U lock with some type of heavy object. It was at the library on fulerton by Milwaukee.

Bike was locked to a fence in Lincoln Park directly across from the Belden Stratford building and near the Lincoln Park Conservatory. Bike was secured with a brand new U-Lock through frame and steel fence. Bike was locked at 7 PM. Approximately 5 other bikes were secured nearby. By 6 AM, bike and lock were both missing. No other bikes remained.

We went to the movies at AMC river east, the 5:00PM show. We live in Streeterville so it is a short ride. We didn't have the u-locks with us as we didn't plan on stopping but it was broad daylight in a nice area so we decided to see a movie. We locked up the bikes with the cable locks for two hours came out and it was gone. We called the police and they said they were just there an hour ago for another bike that was stolen. it apppears someone was just out bike shopping that area. High traffic but few cameras i hear. just a shame.

BIKE STOLEN FROM OUR BACKYARD

It was discovered missing on June 16th, but I'm not sure when it happened since it was taken from the bike racks in my building.

Pulled my bike from storage to take it in for maintenance. Left it under my stairwell in the gated passageway. There are two buildings that share the passageway. One is a condo/owned building, the other is renter.
