This is a cyclocross bike. It has a curved seat tube. It has internal wiring for brakes and derailleurs. When it was stolen it did not have a front derailleur installed. It is an older bike (mid-'80s) and shows some scuffs. Other than that it is in fine condition. A pair of Rolf Vector wheels were also stolen and may be installed on the bike. It is a lugged frame made of Vitus tubing.

Bike was locked at the main (west - by the conservatory) entrance to the Lincoln Park Zoo. It was locked to the bike rack provided there just to the left of the gate. It was locked to another bike that was left there. The other bike is a bright blue mountain bike. The culprit cut the chain lock and took it and the bike during a 15 min period while the victim was in the zoo (zoo visit was cut short due to an on coming storm).

Has a Schwinn water bottle holder on the angled frame bar that's silver. Seat has a memory foam detachable cushion with a slide lock clip that's tied once after the clip and wraps around the seat stem twice before finishing in a slip knot. Bike has Schwinn LED lights for the front and back of the bike with 3 settings to each light: constant, flashing, and strobe(cycle for the rear). The right side rear frame below the chain is scarred and stained with dirt and bike grease along it's superior edge. My bike rocks. I fucking miss it.

Bike had to be taken during the stations off hours so anytime after 12am and before 5am.

It was pouring down rain. At 6:10am my roommate called from our front yard to say that the pole had been yanked out of the ground and the bike was gone. I looked out my north-facing window down onto the lawn and all fears were confirmed. The pole was lying on it's side near the street. The bike was long gone.

Bike was locked on state street directly in front of Harold Washington Library. It was locked to another bike and also to the bike post. We were inside the library from 6:10-7:00. When we came outside, the hybrid bike was missing along with the lock. It was still light outside and a lot of street traffic. It was 'parked' in front of the main library doors on state street in the loop. Someone must've just seen it, cut the lock quickly, and then ridden off with it. It was under surveillance cameras so the offender must have appeared confident.
