Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

U-Lock through front wheel and bike rack. Cable lock through front wheel, frame and back wheel. Cable lock was cut and bike frame (with back wheel) was removed. Only the front wheel is left locked to the bike frame with the U-lock and cut cable.

The bike was locked to another bike with a a cable lock, the other bike was locked with a U lock. The thief cut the cable lock and took the bike, in plain site, public space, in front of Lincoln Park High School.

I couldn't fit my bike through the back entryway. I needed to go get headphones. I went inside my apartment and came back out a minute and a half later. The bike was gone.

My bike was gone when I came to retrieve it. My lock was in a neat pile with several other locks.

Bike taken within 1 minute by swiftly opening combination lock chain and rode off.

This happened half an hour ago. Gate to residence opens to anyone.

Front wheel locked to bike post, leaving frame not properly locked. Front wheel and bike lock still remained. Frame and back wheel taken.

The bike was stolen outside Lake Shore Athletic Club on 1320 West Fullerton, Chicago, IL 60614 on April 22, 2013 between 4 and 5pm CST. I locked the biked with a cable lock to the bike rack. Woke in the morning to find the front metal fence had been cut, and bike, along with bike lock, was removed.

On IIT campus, in the middle of the day, on a weekday. I was in class and came out to the bike rack, in the middle of campus, next to my building, in broad daylight, not hidden whatsoever, and my lock was sitting there and the cable was cut. My bike is gone forever.

Bicycle was stolen in between the hours of 10 pm - 5 am. Stolen from an all tenants access enclosed porch which has secure locking door, door was left open by one of tenants coming in or out of building, sometimes the door does not catch all the way. Usually the building in secure though. The bike is unusual in colorL: silver with black and height 26 " wheels for a 6'4" individual.

Bike was stolen from outside Sanctuary Hall on DePaul University's campus. I had a U-lock through the front wheel and the bike rack, and a cable lock going through the back wheel. The cable lock was cut and I'm assuming they took the front wheel off when it was stolen.

Bike was in locked garage. Earlier in day, man was seen walking back and forth in the alley and peering at bike. At sometime in the late night of 4/20/13 someone rammed their car into the garage door and forcibly entered. Only the bike and set of Shimano shoes were taken.

Bike was parked at alley between madison and washington and wacker and franklin. was missing after work.

bike was inside the shop up against the front counter leaning on another employee's bike just like any other day, and someone must have come in and walked off with it.

My beloved old frankenbike was locked to the rack in front of my apartment. It disappeared, and since I hadn't used it for a week I'm not sure about the exact date of theft. Look for the silver Trek with one drop-down and one bar-end shifter at first light on the fifth day!

I had brought my bike in to the Chicago Public School where I work as a teacher at 8:15 AM. I did not lock the bike to anything because I was late and figured it would be okay where it was (again, INSIDE the school) until I had my lunch break at 11:15. My U-lock was locked around the center bar of the frame. When I came back to check on it and lock it up at 11:20 Am, it was gone.

This bike along with another mountain bike were stolen from garage sometime in the afternoon.

Bike was in a locked basement storage, but not locked to anything in the room (there's nothing for us to lock bikes too). Vagrant who was evicted from the same building a year ago still had a key to these rooms and was living down there. He is in his early 30s, Puerto Rican. He has already tried to bring it other bike shops, I asked at them and they identified my exact bike and this man. NOTE: the picture is from when I first bought it so it doesn't have the shimano clip-in pedals on it at the time the picture was taken.
