Kryptonite lock rack on the vertical tube underneath the seat post. Rock Shox have some black marker written on the tops of them. Water bottle cage on the downtube. Hybrid tires (Knobbies on outside, smooth/street on the inside— they look like really worn down knobbies). Tioga headset, some Shimano components. Pedals are SPD clipless. I searched the internet for similar models for sale and there's exactly 1, in LA, so if anyone sees it in Chicago, it's probably the one I'm looking for.

Bike last seen Monday evening, September 5, 2011 around 8 pm. When I returned home Sunday, September 11 at 7:15 pm my bike was no longer locked to the metal rod in my parking spot inside my secure garage at my condo. The metal rod was cut and the bike, along with the Onguard ulock (newer u-lock w/flat key) was taken. My bike also had a bib number on it from a triathalon I did in Geneva, NY last summer. Bib #1355 Musselman triathalon.

The bike was in a locked storage room, though the bike itself was not locked. Two individuals from the building, RV1 and RV2, recently moved out in a hurry taking money, a camera, and a cell phone from their step-father. They had a key to the bike room. Genral consesus among the building tenants is that they took the bike, though I know folks are innocent until proven guilty. Though I do not have the serial number on hand now, I did register the bike with Iron Cycles when I bought it. I will check with them tomorrow, 9/12, to obtain the serial number.

I remember seeing my bike the night of September 10th. When I went downstairs I noticed that the lock on the gate had been broken and my bike was missing. There was also broken glass and a stranded red backpack at the scene.

We think they must have had a truck to get away with all the stuff without being noticed and wouldn't be surprised if it was someone in the neighborhood. There is no reason for someone to target our place over any of the others on the block unless they had already seen what we had inside it (which was basically everything they took).

The bike was taken, along with the U-lock, with no trace of any cutting or removing of cables/locks/tires/etc. Any help in locating this bike (which was just purchased 3 months ago) is greatly appreciated!
