Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

The theft occurred sometime between Thursday June 23 (at night) and Sunday June 26. Spanning these dates, I was sick and quarantining due to Covid. I imagine that it was during this time that my garage was entered and the bike was taken. Nothing else in the garage was stolen; just the bike. It wasn't until finally leaving the house on Sunday June 26 for a drive through COVID test, that I noticed the missing bike. A police report was immediately filed.

Bike was stolen form a garage along with helmet and saddlebag and contents. The bike was locked with a u-lock to a cable attached to the wall. The cable was cut. A second bike was pulled form the wall but not stolen as the cable was much thicker. Our neighbor might have left the garage door open overnight.

Bike was left locked up in the same place it always is. Woke up to start doing deliveries. Bike was gone. Delivery bag and helmet are still there

My bike was locked up to a bike rack outside of Namaskar Yoga at 3946 N Southport Ave, Chicago, IL 60613 starting at 11:00am. I taught a yoga class and after class, around 12:30pm, I went to get my bike and it was gone. At one point during class, I saw a larger group of people hanging out outside the studio, which isn't typical for that area. There is walking traffic on the sidewalk, but big groups don't typically hang out there. I'm wondering if that's when the bike was stolen and I'm sharing this in case it's been reported in other incidents. Although the bike lock was missing too, there was a tiny part of the lock left behind. It looks like it was a very clean cut through the u-lock, assuming some type of professional tool was used.

I went to my apartment’s enclosed bicycle storage room. The metal frame that my bicycle was locked to was broken. I do have an AirTag hidden on my bike and it says that it is at 1912 Lincoln Park W.

I went to my building's basement to get my bike (requires access to 2 locked doors) and it wasn't there. Other bikes unlocked in the basement were not stolen.

Owner was away on trip. Last seen 6/11/2022. Someone else noticed it was missing morning of 6/23/2022.

Bike was stolen off my back porch during the day when I was not home. Bike and lock were both taken at the same time without any traces.

Bicycle was stolen from my garage overnight on June 21st-22nd 2022. The thief left an older cheaper bicycle behind in the alley outside of the garage.

Bike locked on corner of Sacramento and Fullerton, was at Pizza Lobo for 3 hours and bike was missing when leaving

Bike and U-lock were stolen sometime between 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm from Galter LifeCenter. There are security cameras that point toward the bike rack that it was locked on. Bike rack is on the side walk of a parking lot to Galter LifeCenter and Chicago Spine Institute.

Locked from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Found missing at 4:30pm. Locked to bike rack at SW corner of E Huron St & N Saint Clair St.

Finished volunteering at Pilsen Food Pantry. Walked outside to see street sign removed from base and bike missing. Bike parked in front of 1858 S Throop Street

Bike was in a secure condo parking garage that has no public access without a key or an opener. Bike was in my parking spot when I left for work in the morning. Bike was gone when I returned from work in the afternoon.

I walked into the bike room and neither the bike nor lock/cable was in there. I've contacted my landlord with help reviewing the security footage, but still need to wait and find out when this was.

Bike was taken from the basement of a condo building in Edgewater.
