Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Bike was locked to a bike lock outside Rush university medical center at corner of Harrison and Paulina at 7AM. When went down to ride home at 5PM bike was gone along with lock

Bike was taken sometime between 10pm and 8:30am from back porch of my apartment.

Either happened Sunday evening of September 20th or early morning going into Monday the 21st. I had my bike basically in my possession during the day on Sunday. I came back home around 5pm and left the bike where I usually put it without expecting anything and I went up a flight of stairs into my apartment and carry on with the rest of my evening. I usually bike to work so that following morning once after getting ready to leave my heart drops after finding that not only my new bike missing (the gravity monster fat bike), my older bike as as well as my roommates bike go missing. There was no signs of a break in with the doors but honestly anything could have happened during the time I left the bike in the space that Sunday evening until Monday morning. Im gutted and crushed. I filed the police report that Monday evening after work and as well filed a claim for my lock that carries an anti-theft program.

Exact time is unknown, the bike was locked in our personal garage. The intruder broke into private property and stole 2 bikes from our garage. The bikes were safe and securely locked inside the garage had the door not been broken into.

PASTED FROM LAST POST: A man and woman broke into the back of my building after hopping a fence. It's a self locking door and it's still functioning without much damage, so it looks like our landlord needs to reinforce it. They casually over the course of two trips stole several bikes (will post my partner's) from various tenants in the building. None of us lock our bikes in the storage / laundry room because we have a locked gate as well as locked doors to the building. A neighbor caught them in the act on their second trip and chased one of them to the CVS at Fullerton and Pulaski where they dropped one of the bikes that was retrieved. Will be posting my partner's bike as well with similar description.

Parked my bike outside of apartment on crowded street in wicker park on Saturday afternoon. I saw it Saturday evening. On Monday morning I went to look for it and it was missing.

I locked the bike to a street sign (on North x Hudson) around 8am using my U lock. At 3:30pm the bike, alongside with the lock was gone.

The bike was locked to a heavy 15 feet metal chain that was locked to a metal fence with a padlock. Both the bike and the chain are missing. In a front yard, where it has been kept for 5 years.

My bike and the lock were missing when I checked the bike room in my appartments building. The last time I had seen or used the bike was August 28. I was on an extended work trip out of town when the bike went missing.

Black 2008 Specialzed Stumpjumper Flat clip in pedals. Spokes Bike Shop from Virgina sticker on the frame. Lock still attached to the frame, not thru either of the tires.

Garage door was left open, and the bike (and two others) were stolen overnight.

Bike was locked to provided racks at x-sport from 6:30-7:30. Kryptonite U-lock was cut with bolt cutters and left at the scene.

Bike was locked to my rack on my car. Thief entered parking garage on foot, cut off lock using heated blade, rode away from garage. Wearing highlighter yellow t shirt, jeans, and work boots. Carried a black backpack

The bike was stolen from the front stoop of the house, locked to the stairwell with a U lock.

The bike is usually located at the base of the back stairway of 2339 W McLean Ave, in view of the door leading out to the back and not locked to anything but with no view or access to it without a key. On Sept 24th it was missing from this location, and both of the doors leading into this area were left wide open. It was likely just taken after our neighbors didn't lock the doors.

Bike was in covered basement patio area along with my kids' bikes. That area is secured by a coded gate protecting rear parking and rear unit entrances. Thief either hopped gate and opened from inside or had knowledge of gate code. Neighbor caught likely thief on camera around 9:30 PM. They had ridden up on a Next brand bike and were peeking into the back area. This Next bike was later seen leaning against the wall in alley but was gone by morning. My bike seems to be the only item taken from our building. It was also be far the most valuable item that was stored outside at any unit. Our neighbors' general consensus is this person had knowledge of this bike and its location. Likely related to some construction contractors that have been working at the neighboring unit over the last 12 weeks. Who knows, but it seems plausible.

Hello, My bike and my partner's bike were stolen. Our apartment has a designated bike room and they were locked in there. We moved in here July 1st, and they have been locked in there since. We found them missing today (9/21/2020) at 5:15pm. They were locked together and to a bike rack with two separate locks. One lock was a combination lock and the other was a padlock. My padlock and chain were both taken, and the combination lock was left. Our helmets were left behind as well.

Noticed the bike missing around September 10th at night. Storage room (also laundry room so regular foot traffic) door was propped open with bricks. Bike was gone without a trace.
