Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Stolen out of my storage room, most likely by movers that realized the door was able to be defeated.

Left bike unlocked while packing up a car, unattended in a gated driveway for less than 10 minutes. She was gone and no one was around when I came back outside.

Perpetrator broke into condo and cut lock from garage.

Went in to grab lunch at the Goddess and the Grocer, came out about 45 minutes later to find my girlfriends bike sitting there with no lock and my bike gone. While on the phone with the police, I found the cut lock in a nearby alley.

Theft was not seen. Bike locked at 9:30 am and discovered missing at 4:45 pm. Locked between campus buildings in an open area with high foot traffic. Police report filed ~5:15 pm.

My bike was stolen directly out of my building's private, three car garage. I believe one of my neighbors left the door open. The thief likely walked into the garage, cut the chain and lock that was secured to the wall mounted rack within the garage and walked right out with my bike. Unfortunately no one saw the incident. Oddly my other bike that was also on this rack was not taken. The thief may have scoped this out prior to taking the bike. My bike has very unique features and upgrades including carbon fiber upgrades, red handlebars, and a small red bag attached to the seat post. The wheels in particular that are black carbon fiber with white letters that say Cosmic on them are very noticeable. Any help is appreciated.

Bike was missing from basement, lock left opened with no damage around the steel support beam. The previous day we the landlord had a plumber rod the sewer drain and the space below the bike has been cleaned. The bike may have been moved or taken during this time as otherwise there is limited access to the building aside from 4 residents. No other items were missing.

This bike and another was stolen from our garage sometime between the evening of February 28 and the early afternoon of March 1.

Bike was locked up for about an hour and a half but I saw it through the window 45 minutes before I discovered it missing. Multiple cable locks through both wheels and the frame and around the rack were completely missing along with the bike; in hindsight may have been a fake pole.

Door to exterior gate and side door of garage were both pried open. Bike and all bike accessories (helmet, lights, panniers, tools etc) were taken.

Bike was likely taken overnight. Later 19th early morning 20th.

Bike stolen from locked garage sometime after 12:00PM on Saturday, February 17th 2018.

The bike could have been stolen anywhere between Monday night (2/12) and Saturday morning (2/17). We don't use the garage all that often, so it was last seen Monday night around 7:30 pm.
