This is a bike from the 70's, and only ridden 4 times till I got it from my aunt in 1998. The condition is "well-loved" or "well-used," with paint job suffering from the chain damage; going from black to red undercoat to actual steel in some places. However, the was a survivor; hit by a car this summer the handlebars and front wheel are new (the back wheel was new last year.) Had bell, front white light, rack w/ milk crate attached, back light. Stolen at the same times was the helmet (white, jury rigged lights attached front and back. Original fenders, some rust on struts. The fine folks at Uptown Bikes know it well.

Lawrence) and locked my bike to a provided bike rack, using a heavy duty chain (links thicker than my thumb) and heavy lock (I have been using this set for 17 years). I left the bike just before noon, and when I returned just after 4 p.m. the bike was gone. My helmet was also locked with the same chain

Bike had been locked to the fence around the back yard of the house for several days, but was still there about two hours before I found it gone. The fence runs along an alleyway/driveway that faces the drive-in pharmacy of a walgreens, but the bike was on the inside of the fence so they had to have come into the yard through the side gate, which has no lock.

One of the brake connections is a bit loose. No reflectors on the wheels. There is a bike light mount on the handle bars and two on the seat post. One tire is much newer than the other. Missing screw under the frame to hold brake cables.

I think 14 teeth on one side and 16 on the other. The frame is an all-black Pake CroMo frame, definitely has scratches and has some dirt under the bottom bracket. In the interest of time I have uploaded a picture NOT of my bike but of a bike that looks similar. My bike is not this fancy. I will update this report once I return home from work.

The bike was securely U-locked in a private garage at 343 W. Old Town Ct. My bike rack is located in the back of the garage and there were dozens of other bikes locked up, much closer to the door, that were left untouched. This seem to be a premeditated operation, as 2 other very expensive road bikes were stolen in the same manner from this complex. We were instructed to move our cars out of the garage for a routine cleaning on November 6. Unbeknownst to me, the cleaning never happened. I returned my car to the garage on the 9th and the bike was gone. Between November 6-9 my bike was stolen.
