My bike was (mostly) still locked to the bike rack, but many of the components were stolen, including: handlebar, saddle, crank arms, pedals, front derailleur, and chainring.

Bike stolen from in front of Papa John's and 7/11 on Armitage and California.

The bike was locked as usual on the porch and was seen at 7:30pm. At 11:00pm the bike was gone.

The bike was behind a locked gate on the back porch. Someone took it while I was out between the hours of 6:40am to 9pm on September 7.

Last night, around 6pm, I locked my bike to the front of my building, next to a solid fence. When I woke up this morning, I looked out my front window to see if my bike was where I left it, locked and secured. When I saw that it wasn't there, I ran down to the front of the building and I found that only the U-lock was there, still intact. Perhaps the thief used some sort of mechanical tools to break into the lock and leave it unharmed.

Bike was inside building at 2500 N Talman Ave. Sometime after 7:30pm someone entered building and tool bike. Bike was not locked as it was inside building.

Bike went missing at Belmont CTA train station. It was locked inside the train station. I locked it up Sunday at noon and went back Monday at 3pm in the afternoon to get it and it was gone. It looks very similar to the picture provided without the disc brakes.

Broad daylight at corner of Sunnyside and Ravenswood. Locked to rack next to another bike. Came back after lunch, my bike was gone and another was in its place. Spoke to owner of adjacent pizza restaurant. He's going to look at security camera footage for me tomorrow.

Someone swiped the bike on the long weekend. I was moving in and had it locked

Bike was locked to street sign around the frame around 6PM on 9-7-14. At 7am 9-8-14 the street sign was damaged and forcibly removed from the ground with the bike missing. Bike could have been ridden after being removed from the sign with some difficulty due to U Lock being attached to the top bar of the frame.

Bike was not locked, but stored in a locked common storage area at the condo where I live. No sign of breakage to the door lock, so whoever took this must have had a key to the storage room (i.e., a neighbor or someone who has access to their key). Pictured is the bike (center, foreground) in the storage area from which it was stolen. Bike was last seen in the room on Sept. 3, discovered missing on Sept. 7.

Left bike overnight and bike was gone when I went to retrieve it in the morning.

Bike was locked to the bike rack across from East Bank Club (east side of Kingsbury Street) at approx 1:45 PM. The bike was discovered missing at approximately 4:45 PM. Security cameras from the East Bank Club were able to capture images of the bike being stolen. The bike was stolen at approximately 2:20 PM.

The bike was present on 9/5 at 2200 and gone by 0645 on 9/6. It was locked with a kryptonite series 2 u lock through the rear wheel with a cable through the front wheel. There were burn marks, presumably from an angle-grinder on the cylinder, but the cable and hook of the lock were gone.

As I was riding home, I stopped and put my bike down at Augusta and Rockwell. I walked a few feet away, paused to talk to my boyfriend for a few minutes and when I walked back for my bike it was gone. My fault, I know, but this bike has great sentimental value. It was my aunt's from the 1960's and my man built it up beautifully (and bought me the saddle for my birthday.

Bike was locked to street sign in the parking lot next to my apartment building for easy access during the summer. Was last seen August 5th around 6:45pm and was missing the next day when I went to use it at around 12:00pm. My wife's bike was also locked to the same sign but with a U-lock and was still locked.

Bike was locked in front of 2150 North Lincoln Park West for 2 days because I take it to work everyday. I missed taking it one day and the next day it was gone. There are other bikes too parked in this area overnight so I took the risk of parking it outside instead of bike room.

I put my bike on the front bus rack to Lawrence from Western pink line. I started to doze off, being so late, and when I awoke, my bike was missing and the idiot driver said some guy took it.
