Bike was locked to the bike rack in front of the Bad Apple Restaurant and Bar. The front tire was found alone the morning of September 6th with the U-Lock attached to it, still locked to the frame. There were two older bikes locked to the rack as well. The thief must have detached the tire and taken the frame and the back tire without needing to break the lock. There are usually many people smoking outside of the bar late into the morning, the area is commonly not known for thefts, especially in front of a busy establishment.

Badge on head tube is from a state park. It was meant to be a badge for a walking stick so I'm sure no one else has it. The saddle is a cork style saddle from Gilles Berthoud. The crank is a silver sugino 75 with the non drive side installation threads half stripped. One of the crank bolts is gold while the rest are silver. Both pedals are MKS GR9 with Power grips installed however only the left one is useable, the strap for the right side pedal is laced through the negative spaces in the pedal. Chris King headset. Matching Nitto seatpost and stem. Handlebars are Nitto bullhorns with a Gran Comp dual lever brake lever in the center. Wheels are silver Mavic Open Pro with gum walled tires. The rear wheel has a hologram type sticker (4mm thick strip) trim running around the flat part of the rim. Real wheel also has an LED red light in the spokes. The stem and seatpost are both Nitto Crystal Fellow. There is a piece of black leather sewn around the top tube hiding a dent on the tube. Also the photo is current except for the fact that the rear wheel matches the front, as in they are both silver Mavic Openpro with black gum walled tires.

, I got inside our building lobby and I remember I got a note in the mailbox day before that I have a package in the manager’s office. I went in and get my package and on my way to the elevator the secretary called me and ask me to come back and the manager wants to talk to me. So I left my bike beside the rest room which is next to the manager’s entrance door about 3 meters from that door. For about 2 minutes our conversation lasted and when I look back my bike is gone. I went up stair to dress up and then took off to the police station on 18th St. and State St. About 30 minutes when I got back to the residence one kid approached me telling me “they sold your bike for $30.00” . Thankfully the security camera got it on record as the guard and the manager confirms it. The guard told me the thief does't live in the compound but her grand mother does. He told me his name is Blake Smith.
