Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

Left the house for 30 minutes - one bike was in the courtyard (locked secured gated). When I returned the bike that had been in the courtyard was in the rear alley and the bike that had been in the garage was gone.

I used my bike on the afternoon of June 13 2014 and locked it after use. I locked it in in my apartment building's secure and locked parking area under the building. The bike was locked to a very large parking space cinder block that could not be moved by hand and the lock was strung through the frame and back tire. I went to use the bike the afternoon of the 14th of June, 2014 and the bike was gone. The lock had been cut and left at the scene.

Bike was stolen from garage in my building 4553 N Magnolia between the hours of 7:45-10:45am on Saturday, June 14, 2014. The bike was unlocked on a bike rack above my car's assigned parking spots.

This bike and a motobecane mixte (seperate report) were locked together through the front wheel and frame with a kryptonite cable lock and padlock to the bike rack with ten other bikes in the courtyard of my building. Between 11PM and 630AM someone stole both bike and took the lock, they also stole a ancient blue metal bike pump i had zip tied months prior to the bike rack. No other bikes were stolen than the two listed here.

Bike was in the back yard, resting against the first level porch. There is a gate to enter the backyard. I went outside around 8:30pm to find my bike was gone.

Bike was sitting behind a locked iron fence (6 ft). The thief jumped the fence and threw the bike over the top of the fence, then jumped back over the fence and rode away.

a Hispanic man with a larger build and long hair wearing a flannel jacket was seen taking the bike. The local store keepers say they see him often and he always has new bikes for sale.

Sometime late Monday June 9 or early Tuesday June 10 someone got into our gated parking area, cut my bike lock, and took my bike. The gate is very high so I have no idea how one would get into the area let alone get a bicycle over it. Our parking faces an alley. The bike was in a back corner behind my husbands vehicle so I assume it was taken by someone who frequently travels down the alley and had an eye on my bike. This bike was my mother in laws wedding gift 40 years ago so it has a lot of sentimental value and I just want to see it back safe!

Was lost near bucktown/logan square, around armitage and western or fullerton and damen. If found, please contact me.

I locked my bike under the viaduct at the Rogers Park metra station in the morning on my commute to work. When I returned the bike and lock were both gone. No damage to the bike rack. It was a very large and heavy lock that can't be cut with bolt cutters. I have no clue how they could have gotten through it.

On the night of 6/9, I had my custom built single speed bike locked up in the outside parking lot of a condo building in Lakeview, near Diversey and Sheridan. Some piece of s*** stole the fork, handlebars, and brake levers off the bike. It was FSA Compact Omega handlebars, Forte stem, Tektro crosstop handlebars and regular Tektro road-type levers. The bike was locked w/ a U-lock and cables around the tires. They didn't mess w/ the lock, they didn't take the wheels, just the fork and the handlebars.

Locked bike to bike rack near door of Logan Square Library around 4:45 pm. When I came out of the library, the bike and lock were gone.
