Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I was mounting my bike to my car roof rack. Took off the front wheel to mount the bike. Drove off without the front wheel. By the time I got back to the alley East of Hoyne it was gone. I think that one of the kids that play in the alley from the Section 8 building nearby may have seen me drive off without it. The picture is my Rear wheel I still have.

Bike was locked inside trash gate to a wooden fence. Wooden fence pole was pulled loose through board.

Bike stolen from my house garage

Someone cut through the lock and took the bike.

My bike was inside of a locked garage. On the morning of 9/1/2013 my landlord came into my apt and said the garage had been broken into and everything had been stolen out of it.

Bike was under a stairwell in an enclosed back yard with high walls and locked gate. Stupidly it wasn't locked but I thought the space was inaccessible. However this bike is probably unique in Chicago so please do keep an eye out. I locked the bike up to itself because there was nothing to lock the bike up to. I used a u-lock in combination with a cable. The u-lock was used to lock the front wheel to the frame, and the cable was used to secure the back whee to the frame and u-lock. While locking up, a group of three hispanic men with two pick-up trucks were present, working on one of the pick-up trucks, apparently trying to get it started. I left the bike to take my kayak on the river for a few hours. Upon return a few hours later, my bike was gone with no evidence of the lock or cable being cut, and both pick-up trucks were gone. I suspect they just picked the bike up and threw it in the bed of one of the trucks and drove off. The area where the bike was locked up is in a gated yard with one key-code lock entry gate to get in.

2 guys were riding on Berteau and Honore, one had a red rear wheel. They rode past my bike a few times, came back to it, waited for passersby to die down, and took the saddle & seat post. It was caught on the building security camera.

The front tire was locked to bike rack. The front tire was removed from the bike and the remaining bike was taken from the bike rack area across from Willis Tower on the Franklin St. side.

Locked up right outside of Kelsey's bar to a tree. Someone walked by with bolt cutters and cut the lock right in front of the bar. No one saw anything.

I locked my bike up to a tree in front of a house near Lincoln Park High School. I checked on it, went inside the school; and twenty minutes later it was gone.

Lock my bike in front of the business I was going into, when I came back out the bike was gone, and another bike was locked to the lamp post.

I left for work @ 9a that day and watched my garage door shut all the way. When I got home @ 5p my neighbor told me my garage door was open when he came home around 2:30p. He closed it for me. When I went to the garage to see what may be missing I found that my bike was the only thing stolen.

I was working at the Lurie Children's hospital and locked my bike right in front of the hospital and the ADA building on Chicago and Michigan Ave. I worked the night shift and locked the bike up at 211 E. Chicago ave. I came back and the bike was gone, along with the lock. Stolen between 8PM on 8/28 and 9AM on 8/29

Bike in garage, locked to itself with newer U-lock, flat key.

My bike was locked to a wooden railing, it was ripped off the railing. (Locked to railing with newer U-lock, flat key. Wooden railing broken.)

Bike was stolen from building basement with locked door; both gates to get into the basement are 6ft+ tall locked iron. Bike had been stored there for two years without incident and there was no sign of break-in.
