Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I was taking a shower and I heard a noise outside, but, it wasn't until I was taking out the trash that I noticed it was gone. My guess is the theaf lives in the area because they would have to get it over a large gate and it's relatively hard to notice it from the alley. I had locked it to a fence (which was fine for a whole year) that they clipped. The picture is of a basic Bianchi avenue but it looks just like it.

Bike was taken in broad daylight in front of valet servicemen and security without notice. I had been parking my bike at the same location without incident for nearly 8 months. Currently, I am awaiting the security camera tape for more info on the theif. Bike and lock were taken with no evidence left at the scene. Another bike was locked to the same location as mine had been so I suspect my bike was taken sometime in the morning shortly after locking it up.

The theif broke in to my basement, stole another bike and stole my bike. The bike was locked with a U-lock through the frame and wheel to a chain that was wrapped around a pole in my basement. This bike is my means of transportation for work and school. Please help me find it!

My boyfriend had his 2003 Bianchi Pista was stolen from our yard - It's a fixed gear with a dark grey frame, red ding-pad, blue chain, and bullhorn handlebars with white grip tape.

The stolen bike is the smaller of the two identical models in the rear of the picture. Bike was stolen from the front of the Don Gordon campaign office in Rogers Park

Locked bike, went to movie. Came out bike was gone.

STOLEN: Red Specialized Dolce Road Bike 2/22 (Jackson/Wells b/w 5-9:30 pm) My bike was stolen sometime between 5 pm and 9:30 pm from Wells b/w Jackson and Van Buren. Blue front Tire. I got home last night at 2:00 a.m. and left my bike under my back porch, which is behind a garage. The spot isn't visible from the alley; you'd have to go around the side of the building to see it. When I came down this morning at 9 a.m., the bike was gone. This bike is worth almost nothing; I found the frame next to a Dumpster 2.5 years ago and have been riding it hard and leaving it out in the rain ever since. The only remotely valuable parts are the $80 CETMArack and the Shimano brake caliper, but this bike has great sentimental value to me. Her name is Carmen Sandiego.

The bike was stolen sometime over Thanksgiving weekend, 2006. It was locked there regularly, but it must have been targeted. The lock was a cable combination Kryptonite, so chances are the thief had bolt cutters. The u-lock was under the seat (attached to the frame only) and was made by Bell.

Garage door was lifted. Bike was stolen.

All of the residents in my arpartment building lock our bikes in the main hall of our building. But this evening, I got home at 8:00 pm when my bike was still there. At 10:00pm when I went out it was gone. The building I live in has no door man but you can not get in without knowing a code or having a key.

Someone must have cut or picked the lock and taken the bike. There was no evidence at the site. It was near a busy intersection and directly in front of my school (where, just inside, the security desk is located). The lock was a Krypton heavy duty cable key lock. It was stolen somewhere between noon and 4 p.m.

The thief broke the wooden banister of the porch to which my bike was locked, and stole the bike and the lock

The bike was located in the basement laundry store/room. The last time the bike was used it was placed along the wall without any lock, as the outside door was locked and one needs to go through another door to enter this room. Upon returning to the laundry room a few months later, the bike was missing. Surveying the room there was still one bike(from a previous tenant) and two bikes in the stairwell, only my Trek 820 Mountain Bike was taken along with my yellow helmut. Note: the room can also be used to exit the basement of the tenants first floor apartment. Therefore, understanding only the apartment tenants would have access to this room, I confronted the residents in apartment #1. They claimed they were unaware of any missing bike. I called the landlord to ask if by chance she had taken the bike to which she responded no and was concerned regarding the theft in the building. She promptly wrote a note addressing the seriousness of this situation, the tenants responsibility for guests and required locking of all doors. I have asked for further investigation into this matter considering their bikes remained untouched in addition the person who took my bike even had the audacity to take my yellow bike helmut that was hanging from the handle bars.

My bike was locked to a big wooden support on the back deck of my first floor flat. It was locked with a kryptonite cable lock. A u-lock was attached to the frame, but I had neglected to use that in combination with the cable lock. This is the normal place that I have always locked my bike, but I had planned to bring it inside when I went out of town for Christmas, but I ended up leaving in a rush and did not have time. When I returned, the bike and lock were missing. I left on the 22nd and discovered the bike missing on the 1st when I returned.

i was out in that neigborhood and had a strenuous day. i decided i was unbale to bike home, my body was sore from the days previous and so i left him in the lakeview area in near ann sather's and standard indian cuisine. i went back to the the location the following night and not a single trace of him.

i left my bicycle over night because iw as tired from a long day and decided i could not bike home late into the evening. my body was sore from the night before so i decided to lock it up. i arrived on belmont street not far from standard indian restaurant and my bike was gone-- it's lock and everything.

I have no idea what happened. I have been locking my bike in this location for over a year and thought my lock was secure. When I came out of work one day, my bike was just gone.

Bike stolen from my front porch. They must have climbed my locked front fence and thrown it over somehow.

stolen from 232 s. clark in the loop in front of the bank of america building. Security tape is currently being reviewed by building security. Stolen in the middle of a rain storm so im sure no one was paying any attention
