Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

I was at North Avenue park and went for a drink of water leaving my bike behind. When i return 2 minutes later, it was gone.

We were moving into our new apartment at 2250 W. North Ave. The bike was taken out of the car for 30 minutes while we were moving other stuff. During that time, the bike was stolen.

Bike was hanging in the garage, behind a car and above another bike. The main garage door was closed and locked, as was the backyard door entrance to the garage. Nothing else was taken from the garage and there was no damage to cars, entry doors, or other property. There are power tools, nice golf clubs, the other bike, two new cars, etc and only the one bike was stolen.

Bike was removed from car, Might have video Surveillance of culprits.

It must have happened yesterday evening. We have a park near here and kids are always doing this stuff.

Lock was broken and left at the corner of Fullerton and Cleveland.

The bike was locked to a bike rack on the side of the LVAC (LakeView Athletic Club) at 3212 N. Broadway. The suspect was caught on video tape cutting the lock and biking off with the described bike. He took the helmet and lock as well.

I parked my bike outside of the Ray Meyer Fitness Center on the Lincoln Park Campus of De Paul University. I went to my job at the Cafe inside of the gym. I could see my bike through the large windows of the facility. I informed a coworker that my bike was parked next to hers as we both looked out them. About 15minutes later she happened to look out and asked me if I had moved my bike. I ran out but it was already long gone.

Double locked with. Both u lock and cable. Someone must have picked the lock because no sign of either cable or lock.

I live in Iowa City, IA and had my bike stolen out of my garage this morning.

Apartment was broken into, Bike was stolen along with Ipad, Stereo, and some jewelry.

During the Aids Run at Soldier Field I locked the bike to a rack on the East side of the stadium by the stairs around 8:30am. when I locked it up there was another bike locked to the rack. when I went back to the rack at 10:00am and it was gone.

We parked and locked two bikes to the bike rack outside LP Zoo and when we returned the bikes were missing. LP Zoo officials and CPD indicated that there have been a rash of thefts at the zoo recently.

I went to drop off some t shirts at my friends house. Locked my bike to the fence, locking only the frame with a cable and pad lock. When I returned in 20 minutes it was gone. My friend lives in an apartment building and his neighbors have about 15 people packed into a 2 bedroom apartment. I believe they stole my bike. I also have reason to believe they sell drugs because there are always young men and women out front, meeting up and shaking hands with people. This is on the corner of Addison and Laramie. They will stand outside throughout the day with people coming and going. Please help me find my bike, my father bought it in the 80's and that's all I have to remember him by.

I failed to lock the bike frame with my u-lock. I mistakenly only locked the front wheel (quick release) to the bike rack and the thief just took the frame and left the front wheel locked to the bike rack. THE SECURITY DESK IN THE CBOT BUILDING HAS VIDEO FOOTAGE OF THE THEFT. THE THIEF'S DESCRIPTION IS MALE, WHITE, ABOUT 5'7" DRESSED AS A BIKE MESSENGER WITH A BACKPACK. I can't believe this brand new bike rack for over like 60 bikes, was just installed recently and is targeted so often. After talking to security guards from across the street from where it was stolen, they've seen the activity and describe it as an organized operation. Unfortunately they didn't see anything suspicious on that day. Interestingly enough, just around the corner, 2 front wheels were stolen the same day my bike was.

Bike was unlocked in my condo building for a maximum of 24 hours.

Locked it to itself in backyard in Roscoe Village. Put it in a spot that would be out of view of the street or alley.

The frame was stolen and front wheel left with lock to metal gate.

Garage service door was forceably entered and bike was stolen along with another bike and small saleable items.
