Went to dinner, shopping at Nordstrom, returned to vehicle at 7:45 pm to find one of the two bicycles mounted on the trunk of my car missing. Ruined our fun evening in Chicago. Bikes were secured to trunk mount with thin cable lock which was cut. Surprised both bikes were not taken.

I always keep my bike locked up here. I came outside and noticed it was no longer there. The fence that it was attached to was not touched. There is no broken lock parts or bike parts everything is gone. It was a Bulldog Onguard U-lock. It happened sometime between March 26 thru March 28. Also there were two other bikes along with mine on that fence. I don't see them around anywhere either.

Ran out for bus this morning and did not pay attention to rack, so not sure if it was stolen overnight (locked at around 7pm 3/8/13) or today. Kryptonite lock, sawed through and left on ground. (Also had cable to tether front wheel to lock, but lock was through rear wheel and frame to rack). Was at bus stop, in front of three restaurants and an acting studio, so guessing thief/thieves knew what they were doing.

Bike was locked up in my building (2340 N Commonwealth) and attached to a cable on a wall frame. Someone (maybe another tenant) cut the cable and walked off with the bike. Bike was behind 3 locked doors and inside a locked bike cage. No pictures of the bike as I only owned it for 6 days before it was stolen. Occurred sometime between 2/28/13 6:30pm and 3/1/13 6pm, but most likely during the day on 3/1/13 as crime in and around our building tends to happen on Friday afternoons.
