The left break has a gel-like cover, and is cracked towards the base, but is otherwise stable. The seat itself is large & padded, with a red light integrated into the seat. Said seat is also chained to the bike's top tube frame and locked with a padlock.

They were underneath a staircase behind a locked gate in a back alley entrance, but faced the parking lot of the adjacent building. Best I can assume is someone saw it from within the adjacent parking lot, hopped the fence, and walked out.

I left my bike locked at the train station overnight with a Kryptonite Evolution Mini locked to just the frame (the wheels were secured using locking skewers that only I have the key for). I came back the next morning and it was gone, along with the lock.

The street was really quiet when I locked my bike up, not many people walking around and not many business open yet. No cars or other bikes on the street for that matter. I was out to coffee and returned 45 mins after leaving my bike to find another bike in its spot. There was no evidence that my bike was even there, lock and whole thing was not there. I would guess that the lock was cut because the pole was too tall for someone to lift the bike over without being noticed. If I had to guess, I would imagine the person that parked their bike where mine was may have been the thief. There was a valet guy that showed up in front of the hair salon at about 7:30 am, I asked him but he said he had not seen a bike where I had locked mine.

I arrived at ogilvie transportation center on Friday the 13th around 2pm to take the train to the burbs for a couple nights. Because of the taste of Chicago I could not bring my bike on the train (I was unaware). So, I locked my frame to the bike racks behind ogilvie on Washington ave. I took my wheels with me. Security at ogilvie was unhelpful and would not let me review the video from the overhead camera that monitors the bike racks.

I locked the bike to the bike rack outside Gleacher Center. The bike rack is on a sidewalk. When I returned 3 hours later, the bike was gone along with the combination lock. The bike rack is in clear view from places nearby, so I am surprised nobody saw it being stolen. Pedestrian traffic is light around the area.
