Chicago Stolen Bike Registry

my backyard is fenced in and private and the only way in is through a locked fence. it's possible a neighbor went back there and left the door unlocked, otherwise someone jumped the fence to get in. I've stored it in the yard since I've had it and never needed to lock it up (until now).

Locked my bike out front of work to a street post with U-Lock and cable. Left out front of work to get a drink and when I came back the post had been completely removed. Some person has been stealing bikes out front of our work regularly and it's very frustrating. Bike may include Monkey Light on front wheel and closed toe straps on pedals.

Bike was stolen from locked basement storage area sometime in early to mid October, 2015. It is a maroon and cream Schwinn women's beach cruiser. At the time of theft, it had a black storage basket attached to the front. Also stolen was a black/dark gray U Lock. It's not a common Chicago street bike. It's made for mostly leisure rides on wider paths because of the wider handlebars. Brand new, only ridden a couple of times.

Bike was locked up in the bike rack next to the Windsor restaurant downtown and across the street from Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The thick cables used to lock my bike up to the race was cut.

Bike bike was locked to iron fence with a u lock. They destroyed the fence.

Unfortunately I forgot to lock my son's bike that night, and they took it passing it carrying on top of the wall.

the bike was stolen from our patio, unfortunately I didn't lock it that night, anyway the bike is carrying a yellow Kriptonite lock New York.

I locked my bike next to the Rogers Park Metra station. It's at Lunt and Ravenswood. There's an overpass bridge with bike racks underneath and that's where I locked it. The lock was locked through the rear wheel and frame to the bike rack. When I returned at 10pm it was gone, including the lock.

Assailant entered three car garage, took the two bikes which were locked to each other, then cut lock and left with both bikes. Lock was left at scene of crime.

Went out to discover the bike missing from my locked garage. No signs of forced entry

Bike one U-Lock locked the rear wheel with Cable attached to the front wheel/Bike rack, and a Key cable lock attached going through rear and front wheel.

My bike was locked to a metal pole (closed at both ends) in the side area of my apartment building (enclosed). There is currently construction being done on the building and the contractors apparently are wedging the back gate open. When I went outside this morning the bike was gone, along with the lock. There were bits of rubber on the ground but no metal. The lock was a Kryptonite Series 2.

I locked my bike on a bike rack outside of barnes and noble downtown Evanston on a busy street, left for an hour, came back and was gone.

My bike was not locked on my front porch (I live in a coach house not visible from the street) and myself and roommates were home. My bike was seen at about 1pm and noticed to be missing around 3pm.

Stolen between 10/16 around 10pm to 10/17 around 3pm

The bike was left inside of a gated residential community in a place where it had been left many times before.

Bike was stored in stairs leading up to the apartment. Went to run a few errands, gone approximately 2 hours, came back to find the bike missing.
